Gonna pull the trigger on a exhaust for my new stinger. Narrowed it down to these 2. Anyone with first hand experience on either and preferences? Both pretty similar and I'm matching it up with a Typhoon intake for some starter mods. Tha ks for any info

I’d get the MBRP if I were to choose.

I'm trying to decide between MBRP and Borla but a lot of people in other threads/discussions would lean towards MBRP...

I heard MBRP products are pretty reliable and cost-efficient as well. :D

Ya I'm leaning MBRP, sound quite a bit more aggressive than the Megan. I found a site 3 days ago that had the stainless version for $830 with a discount, now it's back up to $950 with 5% off of that..

Prices fluctuate... I've seen that with many different performance parts of many different websites for all cars... WRX... M3... Stinger... it's annoying but that's why I always try to screenshot and use it as a way to negotiate a price with customer service or a third-party vendor... good luck friend!! :D

I wonder if the K8 store would hook us forum members up with a little discount??

I vote MBRP.. now that I've put a few more miles on the exhaust, it has a pretty good growl (especially in Sport when it holds the RPM's longer). Definitely get double walled exhaust tips though as there is a drone if you don't. I paid $930 for the MBRP stainless which is more than I wanted to, but needed it.

I also found this and think it's a crazy good deal for one with valve control.. fitment was my only concern as the MBRP seems to go on like a hot knife through butter

I saw that too but I'm too lazy to run wire etc for the valve control haha.. would you say the drone was unbearable with stock tips? I'm fond of the stock look

Yeah, for me it was a bit too much without the tips. The stock aren't double walled so it had almost like an echo inside the bumper (OE tips) and didn't "push" the sound out the rear. It even still has a little drone, but much more manageable IMO (and my kids have sensitive ears with no complaints).

I hope so. When it comes to cosmetic mods that I am thinking of getting done early this summer I plan to ask. I do see a lot of the "discount" and "coupon" codes floating around on these forums and some posts as well... K8 directly posts as well... :D

Not sure when I will go for my catback since I still need to decide which one and whether I will go with tips... and if I decide on tips then which tips lmfao! :p

Any issues with the clamps or anything not fitting tight?

Just had my guy install MBRP SS an hour ago. Said the clamps that come with it are cheap crap and put his own on them. Couldn’t get them aligned and tight at all. Just a heads up..

Just regular 21/2 inch exhaust clamps?

that's not good to hear about the clamps! :(

I hit up MBRP about their questionable clamps a few weeks ago. After a few exchanges, they swear by their clamps and say they are fine. Is everyone having issues with them? Mine is in the box in the garage waiting for install. Suggestions for better clamps, anyone?

Ugh, stinks about the clamps. I say try the ones that came with them and hope for the best. I was going to throw in a vote for the Borla. fitment was awesome, quality was great, a little more sound than MBRP, and definitely get the tips either way. I have heard a MBRP revving in person, and it did sound great, so you can't go wrong. The drone in the Borla was unmanageable with the stock tips, but adding the $29, Ali express knock-off Akrapovic tips was more than enough to get the sound under control. The other thread about exhausts has the size tips you need to order for Borla or MBRP, not sure if the Meghan sizes were on there. One weird thing though, the Ali express tips had to be stretched just a little to fit onto my Borla exhaust pipes. The mechanic I go to had the thing you put in the tip to stretch it out, so it would slide on the exhaust.

Just got my Mbrp ss in the mail. Anyone mounted it with just Jack stands? I'm pretty mechanically inclined, looks pretty simple
