• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

In today's Herald - Sun Cars Guide.
According to the article below, the C8 Corvette will start at $150,000 up to $200,000 Australian dollars, once landed here in Right Hand Drive from the factory.

# Powered by a roaring naturally aspirated ( as opposed to turbocharged ) 6.2-litre V8, the Corvette sends 369kW and 637Nm to the rear wheels.

# Fans who want 400kW-plus performance should wait for the inevitable Z06 or ZR1-badged models.

Great car overpriced thanks to the crappy aussie dollar and import taxes and luxury car tax. I dont think it will fly out of the show room.

How does it compare to Porsches of similar performance price wise?

Any idea what the cost will be in the U.S.?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have seen some youtube videos, they all seem to suggest a starting price of $60,000 US Dollars.
the official release by Chevy claimed the base model would start at "under 60k USD" so probably 59,999.99 :) I'm really interested in seeing what you get for that price though. Manual windows and locks? Cloth seats? Plastic dash? Cassette player? Hub Caps? lol

As long as they don’t brand it Holden. Needs to retain the Chevy branding. Interesting it’s coming RHD from the factory but they won’t do it for the Camaro, which by the way is also massively over priced in Australia

No A/C and solid non-metalic car paint.

Part of the reason for the cost of the Camaro here is the expense that HSV incur in converting them to RHD.

It will be interesting to see which version of the Corvette we get to justify the $200k price tag - it can't be the USD$60k base model (we tend to get reasonably well featured cars here, and if Holden have any hope of selling a car for $200k, it will need to be pretty damned special).

"Inspiration came from fighter jets such as the new F-35..."

It's screwed then.

The software will be faulty.
The fuel tank will be poorly designed.
You'll be screwed if it's hit by lightning.
There will be steering issues at certain angles of attack.
The HUD will have problems.
It'll be unreliable as all get-out.
You'll only be able to drive it when it's cold, and if your fuel station is painted in light colours.
