I've been experimenting the last month with all the maps. You guys that said I wouldn't be happy with Map 2 for too long were correct lol. Map 3 is where I had some odd issues with torque management and even now Map 3 just doesn't run as smooth/consistent even as Map 2. So basically I use Map 2 for casual use and Map 5 for performance. The gains in Map 5 (should be 3 more PSI right Terry?) are huge in terms of butt dyno.

Interestingly enough I thought it was mostly torque Map 5 gains, but it's my pulls from a roll that are SIGNIFICANTLY better. Like before even in Map 2 my 60-120 type pull was very meh. Now my top end is pretty damn good. On the FWY 50% throttle and I can jump from 60-100 very quickly. In general I've been running Map 5 a week now with zero issues (with E30 mix). It's the most consistent performer of any map for me so far.

Done a couple races for fun (like vs a 350 ish WHP Sti, that weighed 600+ ish lbs less) and put bus lengths. I haven't been to a track but I'd imagine I'm running a very low 12 at worst currently?

I ran a 12.4 consistently with shit air and a head wind the other day at the track. I am intakes, map 5, and e30

Good to hear, throw up a log if you ever want us to check out the tuning details! :)

I'd think those mods are capable of a little better? I'm same but with muffler delete too. I know a few guys with similar mods have run high 11's or flat 12's. As you said shit air+wind, so maybe without that you're something like an 11.9. Are you RWD or AWD? I'm AWD.

With your e30 mix, what octane do you think that would be?

I'll get a couple logs soon. Some 40-120 type pulls getting onto FWY better? Or sustained driving?

Full throttle, on a safe private track of course!

To get to E30, do you just do 5 gal of E85 first then fill the tank up with 91/93?

E85 not available. 93 octane is all plus octane booster. So 93 and boostane is not enough?

That works as well, you just need an octane booster.

Is that safe enough to do?
It's worked just fine for me thus far. I've heard you can buy a tester but I've never looked into it. Always just approximated. No issues thus far. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Thanks for your inputs! Going to try it once winter ends (if it's ever going to end)

Approximately, yes.

The exact measurements is like 4.8 I believe, but nobody is ever completely empty so sometimes I'll do 4.5-4.6, alternating with 5 ish in case I'm slightly too low on some tanks. The JB4 E85 beta meter says I'm 28-32 pretty much all the time now. I assume being +2 or -2 won't cause detonation. Once I accidentally put 6.5 gallons and car was running weird, but maybe it was adaptives adjusting.

I use Mobil Supreme+ 98 Octane fuel would it be ok to try out map 5 using that alone? just curious.

Part of why I don't put more than 5 gallons E85 often BTW is California gas is already 10-15% ethanol if I recall.

Ok thanks all, I was going to mix 93 with boostane to 98
