Mods: Step 1 denso plugs, Injen intakes

Fuel: Pumped Shell 91 and added royal purple octane booster for a final octane of 94

Here’s a map 1 and map 2 log different pulls still on the 94 octane fuel. Ignition seems to start to not look good around 80+ mph. I don’t see why the timing seems to be around a 3s on map 1. I’m guessing maybe an ECU reset will fix timing but idk any help is appreciated.

If you were really at 93-94 octane, then map 2 should look better. ign 2-6 should have numbers in the 0-2.3 range max. even the map 1 has some deviations. I would maybe try to use most of the gas in the tank, fill it up with a reputable gas at 91 octane, then reset the ECU. Drive it a couple of days then log a map 1 and map 2 again and see if the timing improves. other than that, give it some more time and see if the ECU adjusts. Or just get the BMS Water Meth Kit and fix those octane issues.

Or ethanol mix.

Okay will do. I will try an ECU reset to see if that does anything. If not I’ll try to run this fuel out and start off fresh.

Yes I usually do an E30 mix with 91 and have no timing advances even at map 3. I’m thinking maybe an ECU reset or possibly a bad batch of fuel.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Okay I ran down the fuel filled back up with Shell 91 then added boostane for a final octane of 98. Did an ECU reset and did a pull in map 4.

Looks great. I would leave it right there provided you maintain that octane level and it feels smooth. .8’s across the board on timing is good.
