I'd like to know if anyone has reported malfunctions with auto breaking and collision sensors failing while on the freeway . Does any Imformation store when the car does this, can it be pulled for data in the event of an accident?

Good question.

I had a "false positive" once driving down an empty road the collision warning went off with nothing in front of me. Didn't trigger the automatic braking though it did squirt some adrenaline through my veins, haha. That's the only time that's happened in close to 30,000 miles of driving. I do know from other experiences that the system works as intended.

I get false readings on the parking sensors all the time when I'm sitting at stop lights, the first few times it made me worried something had run up under the car while I was stopped, but there's never anything there. Once I even got a false blind spot warning that gave me a heart attack, I was worried I was about to hit a bike or something because I couldn't see anything in my mirror at all. When I asked the guy at the dealership about this he said it could just be water or something getting on the sensor and making it think there's an object there. I don't know if I believe that but I suppose it could be true.

False readings from the parking sensors are routine if behind another car with parking sensors, what's happening is the radar antennas on your bumper are picking up radar emissions from the bumper of the car in front of you. I've noticed BMWs and Cadillacs seem to trigger mine from further away than others.

By chance are your stop lights tied to a traffic camera network? I'm wondering if a cw radar on a red light camera might be doing that to you. Either way it sounds like you may need a calibration at the dealer.

As for the false blind spot warning, what did it do, beep at you when you put your blinker on?

Interesting information. I'll keep that in mind. Whenever I go to my local dealership they tell me they need to consult their "Stinger specialist" for any issues and he's never there when I am.

The odd thing is it didn't beep at me but the blind spot indicator lit up probably about half way through my lane change. No alarm though, it just suddenly lit up.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I qas rear ended and my car totalled by a semi rear ending me. I was driving between two semis one on each side of me when I tried to accelerate ro get by my car decelerate and began to break I had no control of the vehicle. It was traumatizing and now I want to know if it records when it makes these moves om its own. Does it save data?

I only had it happen once in a drive through. I was behind a higher pickup with a large ball hitch and the sensors were freaking out. Other than that it's worked perfectly... nice not to have to rely on the tennis ball hanging from the garage ceiling when pulling in to the garage. :)

Did that happen with nobody in front of you?
