Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

CA here. I have jb4, lozic tcu and mix e30. Also a few other mods: intakes, plugs, ecs10, sways. Plenty fun, and I can switch jb4 maps according to the fuel I have.
What tcu settings do you have?
It’s the last thing I want to do. Haven’t done it yet though.

Level 2, iirc. 1 below max. It's mostly good. I wish it had a bit less line pressure at idle when not fully warm - shakes the seats.. I wish it could be like sport mode only or some way to switch back to stock for trips with the family. But, overall, I'm happy.

Hello been contemplating on purchasing a lozic tune. The thing is not sure on what to purchase. ECU or TCU. The stinger is my daily and I like to have fun with it here and there. I live in California so pump gas sucks at 91.
Current mods are: Intakes, oil catch can. JB4. HKS plus. Downpipes. MBRP exhaust. Intercooler(soon)

I need some insight on what I should do next.
Just stay away from full tune/backend flash before mixing E30 religiously. You'll be considered lucky if your map1 looks acceptable with cali 91.

If you have access to E85 and it's convenient then you may get a lot out a full tuned ECU, but you'll be somewhat locked in to having to run that E mix.

If you're choosing one or the other I feel like the TCU would be the best/ biggest improvement if you're not looking to run anything other than 91 or install CPI or WMI. There's only so much Lozic or any tuner can do to reliably squeeze out more power without proper fueling.

I seem to do fine with map 2 on 91, according to BMS. They also said map 4 looks ok on E30-E40 (rough guess at mix), but map6bot said a different tank was marginal and Will Hatzer says he doesn't recommend map 4 on any CA gas mix without additional fueling. But, map 4 isn't that much more power than map 3. And I can dial in map 4 at the track when I fill up with 96 or 100 :-).

Sure, you won't set any records with just plugs + jb4, but it's also quite affordable and can be resold. Any Ecu tune is vin-locked and is only worth $200-300 used for the spare ecu.

I decided the stinger would be my "start with more power, less mods" car, after modding my Subaru quite a bit.

Our wastegate specs are all over the place out the factory so hence our boost be like that too. Imagine some overboosted one with your map 3 level of the boost on 91 but it's map1.

Does the AWD tune add hp or increase acceleration?
No. It's purely a handling mod to tell the AWD "brain" to utilize the front wheels quicker/more often when the rears begin to lose traction since the AWD system is 80% rear bias in sport mode.

This, in theory, could assist with better launches but that's not really the purpose of the mod. More of a mod for trying to shave a few tenths off of your lap time at the track.

I’m sorry to ask this, but how is tork’s ECU/TCU compare? Is it worth purchasing?

If you're not open to e85, TCU and call it a day.

With your new intercooler you could prob get cpi installed and run more E with a new ecu or a back end flash.

Just dont even bother researching that imo.

ECU/tcu upgrades I would just go lap3/lozic

or

Ek1 bef with terry + jb4
Just installed the EK1 BEF E85 tune last night. Big, BIG fan of it. Car feels smoother and even more powerful. I’m installing the CPI and BMS FMIC next week so I’m not trying to go too many WOTs right now with just the JB4/BEF and Lozic TCU, just testing it out through different maps on E30. Im a daily driver and haven’t taken my car to the track (yet). I drive spiritly but not racing everything I see. Excited to see what the CPI will do extra as I’m already having too much fun with this!

Log check so I can either order ECU tune from Lozic or BEF from JB4/sxth

22 G70 sport prestige AWD
Secondaries
Catback
Intakes
E20ish

TCU Lozic stage 2

Thank you all!

I find myself on Genesis forums a lot lately learning about tuning since we run the same engine and have identical setups.

To answer your question: Yes, in order to buy the $75 BEF from SXTH website, you would need the EK1 which is $519 to flash it with. The positive about this is you can download multiple BEF’s for whatever suites you at that time, they have E85, E30, 93 octane BEFs. You can flash the BEFs onto your car within 5 minutes. No need to send the ECU back and forth for revisions. Just download and go. I have a few of their BEFs on my EK1.

Lozic ECU out the door is $1750 at checkout. You have a lot of customization with their ECU, they have boost ready feature, and they do pops and bangs whereas I don’t think Terrys BEF’s do those yet, but they get you burbles.

Many people run pure Lozic, many people are now running pure BMS, and LAP3 has always been a thing, some (like me) are running combination. There’s a lot of good/bad/ugly stories and information on this forum about all the ECU tunes as we have a community of different minds all thinking alike, just like the Genesis community

I'm running full Lozic tunes on one car and going to be running either sxth or BMS on the other one and will report back the results

Just give up on sxth full tune and go BEF. Their full tune is still full of bug and having crashy fueling at the moment.

Okay great BMS it is!

Hi!)
Сan you please tell me which TCU tune is the best?
If you have the EK1, Terry (BMS) has his own TCU tune, I believe it's called TCU Alpha or something, and that is what is running on my car currently. I absolutely love it. The shift points are ideal, line pressure is increased for faster, harder shifts. And it unlocks TCU launch to allow you to launch the car with boost. For $75 it's a steal.

I had one of SXTHs original TCU tunes and I unfortunately don't have many good things to say. It ran fine but the shift points were all wrong and no noticeable difference in shift performance like the BMS tune.
