Fortunately you have a JB4 so you can do some logging. Many folks struggle to run 17-18 lbs of boost on 93 alone. Running 22 lbs is a big stretch. I’m sure People are doing it but you will probably have quite a bit of timing pulled. Essentially you just won’t get all the power you could.Haven't installed my 1.5bar ecu yet... should I be concerned running just 93? I have access to e85, but didn't plan to have it all the time
I have 1.4bar on 91 octane and the avg PSI is usually around 18-19. I rarely have any timing corrections. Then when I add e30 I run 19-20psi and still rare timing deviations. Not sure if that helps. But again having the Jb4 will definitely help.Fortunately you have a JB4 so you can do some logging. Many folks struggle to run 17-18 lbs of boost on 93 alone. Running 22 lbs is a big stretch. As far as any other issues, hopefully some other folks can comment.
Just slap WMI on and you’ll be more than happy. JB4 is no doubt one of the best WMI controller in the market and you already have it installed.Haven't installed my 1.5bar ecu yet... should I be concerned running just 93? I have access to e85, but didn't plan to have it all the time
This is a quick 40 mile all highway (flat road) avg of 77mph. Also this is with E30. So it still will be very efficient when you are not on it. Also I live at 5,000ft so that helps fuel mileage anyways. But just to show how good it can be.Random question but what kind of gas mileage do you get with the Lozic ecu?
That’s definitely to short to tell anything. I think it’s just a spike and is also on let off. I don’t think it will hold at that PSI. Also remember to look at boost 2 not just boost. And a tip for making the logs easier to view. Have the app set up to auto log but only when pedal is above 70%. Then there won’t be a long log with hardly any data.Small drive, but thought it doesn't hurt to ask... anything wrong with this? Not really any hard pulls. Was the first drive after installing the 1.5bar ecu. Only comfort which should be .9bar. I see a boost spike above 20 at one point... Hoping this is just due to first startup after putting ecu in?
I know WOT logs are suggested. Will log more asap. Just got a little scared seeing 20+psi in comfort .9bar mode
Will do, thank you. Still getting used to the logging/jb4 stuff. That’s definitely to short to tell anything. I think it’s just a spike and is also on let off. I don’t think it will hold at that PSI. Yes I think you are right.I don't know what I'm looking at, but it seems to me that all the modes are probably set to 1.5bar. This was comfort (.9bar).
Similar to my log with Chevron 94 only. Shell 93 is able to shave my timing pulls down to 3. And WMI 50/50 mix is able to kill it all.I don't know what I'm looking at, but it seems to me that all the modes are probably set to 1.5bar. This was comfort (.9bar).
The only thing different is I changed the meth injection settings. It adds timing advance for sure. Seems like lozic made the tune pretty adaptive. On these runs.. is the only thing different the meth addition? Or because of meth you could also add so PSI etc?
Yup it looks identical to my log with Esso/Petro Canada/Chevron 94. If you have access to Shell 93 your car will be happier. Also it’s about time to do some research and pull the trigger on WMI kits.I think this should be a good enough log to see what's going on? Hoping someone who knows what they're looking at can help out. Everything felt perfect while driving, only thing that seemed odd was during one of the pulls it sounded as if boost was slightly dropping and going back up repeatedly while throttle was steady.
Was hoping I could get away without wmi. Maybe I'll have to find better 93 and get some e85 to mix in anytime I canYup it looks identical to my log with Esso/Petro Canada/Chevron 94. I think I would wait a couple of tanks for the adaption values to settle down. When I would get a revised tune even with e30 it would take a bit for the ECU to adapt. Then the timing corrections got much better.I think this should be a good enough log to see what's going on? Hoping someone who knows what they're looking at can help out. also set the JB4 to "don't group logs" so each log is just the one pull.I think this should be a good enough log to see what's going on? Hoping someone who knows what they're looking at can help out. 1.5 bar 91 tune’s ignition curve should be conservative enough for shell 93. But still, trading timing advance for more boost is pure dumb.it seems crazy to me that you could have a 1.5 bar tune for 91 octane. 22 lbs of boost is 22 lbs of boost right? wouldn't the car just pull timing based on the low octane? what else can Lozic do to make the car run well on 91 octane at 22 lbs of boost? Asking so I can learn more about it, not trying to say it isn't possible or anything...
