Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

My question to Lozic a few weeks ago:

I am curious what is the basic difference in ECU mapping when choosing Yes or No for "installed methanol injection"

Can engine damage occur if I choose YES the methanol tank runs empty?

I don't have water methanol injection now but I may decide to add water methanol injection in the future.

His reply:

There is no difference in setting when using 93 fuel.

There is a difference in setting when using 91 fuel and WMI.
Interesting, thanks for the information

My 1.5 tune keeps overboosting, what are people doing to remedy the issue? it's happened twice where I'm WOT and it seems like the car falls on its face while attempting to accelerate. I think it hits the JB4 boost safety perhaps but I'm in map 0 so not sure what's going on.

Got new HKS plugs in it and E30 in the tank

are you throwing a code when it happens? or does the car stutter? is it on launch? or already moving? details please

Some people say map 0 isn't "OFF" - I wonder if removing your JB4 would change things?

My 1.5 over boosts all the time, I dont have jb4; when I run my wmi it does it MUCH less though...

It got a lot better when I got the right tcu programming from lozic.

Watching the map sensor with just an OBD2 reader shows it going up to 37psi at times.

A boost tap on my charge pipe shows it going up to 30 PSI, lozic said that's normal.

Not sure what else to do, was planning on eventually getting a jb4 and tweaking the boost with that, see if I can get it to calm down for my fuel and driving conditions.

Why would it change with the TCU programming change?

Why would it change with the TCU programming change?
I got my tcu before lozic had gotten a 2022 with sport+, seems like all his mappings were off by a few bits making realllllly weird behavior, I went through 4 ECUs with him, and only a second tcu, the tcu was the last change and my overboosting drastically dropped.

I think I'm hitting the 24psi boost safety I had set in the JB4..

Turn on Bin 0, 4, 5, 6. The Bins is in even in Map 0. No need to take out JB4. Still good to have

Well, got a new ECU in the mail because the car kept on sputtering. I changed out the coil packs like he advised me to do, I rechecked the plugs to make sure they were all good. I took the car out after throwing in the new ECU and much to my surprise it didn’t sputter. But, after doing a few “pulls” (if you even want to call them that), the sputtering came back and it got worse. I put the stock ecu back in and it runs fine. I threw the car into Map 2 with the JB4 and it ran fine. Lozic said that the sputtering might be normal because of how the car is trying to control the high boost below 3500rpm. I know one member in here had issues with the sputtering, new plugs and coils, with the coils being the solution. Nothing for me. Lozic did change the timing a bit to be less aggressive and the logs definitely show much better timing across the board. Anyone else’s car still sputtering?

Yo homies! A couple questions for you all.

1- For those of you with boost ready on
A: Do you feel it made the blow off sound louder than without?
B: Do you feel this feature helps in roll races?

2- I currently have 2 tunes. One with boost ready off and one with it on. (Other than that it’s exactly the same) Any ideas for draggy tests? I was just thinking something like 30,40,50,60 rolls and the first 10-20mph since that’s when it has most benefits. I’m open to ideas and just want to have fun with it.

Have you tried running the Lozic ECU with the JB4 completely disconnected? Just to see if somehow the JB4 is interfering with the Lozic ECU. Clean the MAP and boost sensors. Disconnecting the battery for 30+ minutes. Not saying any of these things is your problem but they could be eliminated. Just trying to think of some ways to help you out. Sucks you spent money on coils and it didn't solve the problem. I can imagine the frustration.

B: yes

I’ll try that here shortly. I know the jb4 should just be off in map 0 but I’ll try enabling the appropriate bits and see if it changes at all. Then I’ll try to unplug everything and see if that changes.

A: louder at 3000-4000rpm mid throttle if I let off the throttle. Other than that it’s the same.
B: Yes and I can’t go back to the tune without it anymore. I kinda regret for not leave it on all instead of 2000 rpm.

A: Mine just has a lot more high pitch to it when it’s on. When off it is just normal sound. Maybe try a sound clip

Timing looks clean! Others can probably add even more comments. What are your mods?

Looks so clean omg. Is that 91oct 1.4 bar using 93?

Looks good to me. Timing looks perfect, trims are a bit high so guessing you are running E85. Everything else looks normal
