Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Never really looked at my 60-130, and don't usually try for it either. I do have a few though, 10.28, 10.29s. Is that good?

I think sub-10 seconds is a good starting point and preferably sub 9 seconds. Don't sweat it too much, sometimes you'll lose .5 to 1.0 secs just from starting the test in the wrong gear or an incline in the road. It's a good test if you want to remove (mostly) driver error/advantage.

Even in Eco and Comfort modes? Because mine definitely doesn't feel that way. Now Sport mode, that is a completely different story
Yes, but to clarify, we are talking about the boost ready feature, not the boost by mode feature. Just making sure we all stay on the same page.

Before I ordered my ECU I asked Lozic several questions about the boost ready function. Because I was leaning toward leaving it OFF. He assured me that any issues with the boost ready function was resolved. Since he assured me, I went ahead and choose to have the boost ready function ON and I'm happy I did. Sport mode is definitely aggressive but Comfort and Eco are calm and perfect for crusing. I like that my Stinger can change personalities with the flick of a knob. Maybe you have a early edition of the tune before he adjusted the mapping. I ordered mine in mid September last year. IMO people that choose to leave the boost ready off are missing out on a feature of the tune. But I can understand how someone would choose to leave it off. The great thing is that his tune is so customizable. That's one of the reasons why I chose his tune.

It is possible I have the old version as it was a Used tune from someone here, However the original tune was already adjusted by the original owner and I am under the assumption that the version of Boost ready I have is the updated version, However I could be wrong.

Lozic mentioned he signed a contract with UPS for faster shipping I reckon. Just placed my order for the ecu. You should return the ECU to him and fix and add anything you want on it and he returns.

I plan to, I just have to give him 700 USD for the support and corrections, as buying a used tune like I did, does not cover that stuff, which is completely fair, as once I had him re-program the vin for me, I was only about 800 into the tune, so another 700 would make me exactly at 1500, which is the same cost as new.

Edit - Comma's don't make a run on sentence any better Adoom, you know better than that.

I’m new to this whole tuning thing. Can I run this Lozic TCU tune with a jb4? Went with the jb4 initially because of price and now I’ve realized a TCU/ECU is definitely the way to go.

Yes you can. TCU has no connection to jb4. Now if its ECU then thats different.

But you can still run the JB4 with the ECU tune but on map 6 (custom). I am using the JB4 to run the WMI and add boost when at the track

Does anyone have any experience with it? Is the TCU worth the money for the performance your getting? How well do they work together?

Its pretty good change. Stays higher in the powerband, useful for drag races etc. Also smooth shifts or aggressive (whichever you prefer) Id say it takes a good timing off your 1/4 and 0-60 as well.

A lot of it is dependent on the surface that I'm running on and the weather. Usually my first run at a track is not floored completely because I am trying to gauge how sticky the surface is and I don't want wheel hop. I never have this issue on the street, so I can usually go all out. If temps are low, below 45, I'll do a burnout to warm the tires before launching. I have the AWD controller from LOZIC so it's been easy and no CELs. I never tried it when the car was stock, so I do not know if you'd run into any issues if you tried that. Some AWD cars throw a code when you try to do that. Anyway, make sure you have TC and ESC fully defeated or you will not get a great launch. You have to hold the ESC button until it reads that both TC and ESC are off. Then I launch just like I would with the LC, with a foot on the brake and Fully holding down the throttle. Get to desired RPM (1700 - 2300) and release brake. I only feather it to an RPM if I'm street racing, mainly because you don't know exactly when the light will flash. Don't worry about this one too much.

One thing I had to become conscious of was making sure I had the gas pedal completely to the floor. There's like an extra inch in the pedal you might not notice at first. Just try to put your foot all the way through until you think you're gonna tickle the intercooler lol. Usually I wait an extra second before letting off the gas just to make sure I squeezed every last mph out of the run.

This is the most important thing, DO NOT try to "power through" anything. Car slides, let off the gas. Car hops, let off the gas. Here a funny sound, let off the gas. It's a lot cheaper to just try another run than it would be to replace anything in the car. The more time you spend with the car, the better feel for your car you will have and the more successful you will be. You'll also start to know what feels right and what doesn't.

Also, if you're going to track it, race people, or put in on the drag strip, make sure you upgrade the cooling. These cars have terrible heat soak.
What does the awd tune control exactly?

Just to let everyone know the Lozic TCU tune is now $890. Not much of an increase- but if anyone needed to know.
