Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Man, what a wealth of information here...ive been through a few pages, but cannot find anything regarding the 2.5l engine ECU/tune. Does anyone know if Lozic supports the 2.5l engine and I can only wonder what kinda power gains we would see on our 2022 GT- Lines...?

TIA
From search on his channel, they seem they do I think.

Do most people have boost by function on or off?

advantages/disadvantages?

Sorry boost by ready
I have it set to OFF. I believe you get "more aggressive" boosting with it set to ON. I didn't want the car to feel like every drive it was constantly in KILL mode. I think with ON you can use the factory LC boost though. I'm not sure though.

Exactly what I wanted to confirm lol

Especially as a daily driver.

I’m actually wondering the same thing. (Getting ready to buy) One thing I can add that might help.. Lozic told me that the 2,300rpm launch (factory style) but with boost will only work if you choose the boost ready function on. I’m not sure why that is though??? Although I know most people don’t use that launch anyways and just use the “torque off” launch. I wanted boost ready off- I had basically decided that I wanted it off because I don’t want it always ready when cruising etc. and sounds like the sound can be too much.. but then he told me that about the launch.. so now I don’t know what to do- I really like the idea of factory launch but with boost. Hopefully more can comment. (Also I should mention all of that being said about launch is also only working if paired with the TCU.)

I launch at different RPMs depending on pavement and track prep. There's 2 tracks that I go to and then a few areas in "Mexico" where some are prepped and some aren't. Factory launch for that car is on stock everything. Once you change even the tires, might as well throw factory LC out the window.

Makes sense. I will choose off then and just have to practice the launch with it. I just am silly and like being able to hold my foot to the floor and just let off brake. Felt I would be more consistent that way. I’m sure I’ll get it with practice.. and forum help

It may be too much for daily use for having it on imo. Full pedal acceleration, boost ready function doesn't matter as per Lozic.

Youre still getting the boost regardless, just adjustment on sensitivity of the pedal.

Are you ordering the TCU too? Having it OFF paired with TCU would be even more beneficial.

Just breathe and think it through before doing your launch. That's a big key to consistency, and it's a hard lesson. I'm still learning it and sometimes lose focus because usually when I get to the line, I just want to tree tf outta the guy next to me lol. But my best runs are when I just focus on my car. Good luck!

I appreciate the feedback! Can you take us through how you launch? I have heard people say feather it.. slowly get to X rpm then go. Then some say definitely don’t hold it too long. Some say floor it a millisecond before letting off the brake. Some say say at the same time. Just lots of ways out there. What has been working best for your launch's

Boost ready ON and how hard it "hits" is also dependent on how much boost is called for at the given RPM. For example, if you have say 19psi at 2K with boost ready it will spool fast and hit hard. If you had 12psi at 2K it would have less of a hit. At least that is how I understand it.

Explain?
Yes I plan on ordering both. Just no rush so getting all specs dialed in.
I apologize, should've quoted Adoom.

Here is the brief discussion on it.

Okay here is probably a dumb question.. on the order sheet you can choose “Drive” RPM limit and “Standing” RPM limit. Does “Standing” actually mean when stopped/not moving? Or does it just when in park or neutral? Because if it means when In Drive but when stopped as well I’ll have a follow up question.

I chose to have the boost ready function ON. Because I wanted to be able to build boost on launch. I wanted fast and aggressive boosting. Although it is only noticed in Sport mode. In Comfort and Eco modes the boost doesn't feel fast or aggressive. But Sport is definitely beast mode. As it should be in my opinion. The boost ready function seems to reduce turbo lag because positive pressure is always available in the charge pipe. Also increased throttle response is felt. Overall I'm happy with it. One negative to some people might be that under light acceleration going up a grade I will hear the turbos and the blow off valves cycling. Similar to what you hear from diesel/semi truck. After a few weeks I accepted these sounds as part of the tune. A small price to pay for the benefits IMO. Hope that helps in your decision process.

How do you find the drivability? Does it feel overly aggressive or does it drive normally?
