Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Sorry I’m sure my wording was terrible. Don’t you want it to auto shift all the time even when all nannies are off? Or is there a reason/time you don’t want it to auto shift?

I haven't driven much with all nannies off. I assumed when I get to that point, I'll also want to control shifts. But, that's just a guess - I may be wrong about that.

Unless I'm mistaken, with his current setup he would now have more control over shifting. I'm assuming by "track days", he's referring to autocross or road courses. Both of which you want to tell the car when to shift instead of it shifting for you prematurely.

I think the auto-shifting is really only beneficial for straight line acceleration like a drag strip or highway roll. I manually shifted on the one road coarse I did last year.

Thanks for the breakdown Slip!

I may go your route and go 1.3, maybe 1.4 to if am itching for abit more power. But good to know the ecu can adjust to the octane levels.
I was actually just inquiring about this same thing for myself. Here is a copy and paste of Lozics response.

1.4 bar available for 91.
But it is different from the boost curve of 1.4 bar at 93

I would imagine that's because the engine is more prone to pull timing at certain rpm's to reduce knock. So he creates a different boost curve for the 1.4 bar 91 vs 93 to reduce boost in the problem areas running 91. Less power in those areas but overall better then 1.3 bar.

In terms of shift points with the 3.3T, you really notice the torque of this car short shifting in the 4K rpm range. I like to goose it off the line and shift really early and let the torque pull through. It's especially noticeable in 3rd and 4th gear and also when the steering wheel is turned coming out of a corner. First, the car limits the amount of torque applied in first and second gears. Once you hit third, the torque limit is increased. My theory about turning the wheel coming out of a corner, is that the "drift" mode program is enabled and the car allows full torque in lower gears. Again, just a theory but the car seems to really rock and roll when that is done.

That is basically exactly what he said. You do know your stuff! 1.4 Bar on 91 for me. Now just need to decide TCU.

I've tried Pressure 0, 2 and 3. Shift % -5 and -8%. Let me know what you are looking for and I can provide some advise.

I already tore it apart and replaced the head gaskets a few months ago. It's running fine now.
It's good to know that the drivetrain has held up to all the testing/hard launches you have done. Anytime I do a torque limits off launch I'm afraid something is gonna break in the drivetrain. The majority of the time I keep the torque limits on when I launch since I have crappy all season tires on now. And trying to launch with the limits off always results in all 4 wheels spinning. Once it warms up and I can put summer tires back on I'll try some torque limits off launches again.

I’m most likely doing pressure 1, maybe even 0. But what I want to decide on is doing more than -8%. I want to be out of 1st way earlier and then the rest of the gears earlier than -8%. He told me I can have it setup in each gear if I want. But I don’t want to be that picky. So I’m thinking 1st gear -x% and 2nd-7th gear -y%

The only problem I see with going to low in the rpm, is when you are trying to get the best 0-60 or 1/4 mile times, it may not be as fun to drive the car with low RPMs all the time. Not sure but just a thought.

If you like the stock shifting, then don't go above 1. I found 3 to harsh and even 2 got to be too much for me... but most people would probably disagree with me.

Appreciate the feedback! I do like the feel of stock shifting but want a touch quicker so I’ll probably try the 1 and see how it goes. Not much feedback on that one in this forum. So I’ll be sure to give my review.

I think besides 1st all gears shifting at about 5,500-5,600rpm would always keep me happy.

I'm looking forward to your review!

I have Slips old TCU Pressure 3, Shift -5%, and am very happy with it. Bit harsh in sport mode when driving in traffic, so usually in comfort then.

Man, what a wealth of information here...ive been through a few pages, but cannot find anything regarding the 2.5l engine ECU/tune. Does anyone know if Lozic supports the 2.5l engine and I can only wonder what kinda power gains we would see on our 2022 GT- Lines...?

TIA

Pretty sure they do. I'd reach out to them to confirm though.

@sweetboyed any tunes for the 2.5?
