Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

I think it's commonly thought that HKS makes the best plugs and Lozic, like other tuners want to ensure the best conditions are met for their tune. I would think the stock plugs would be ok too but possibly have a shorter life span or maybe even have some breakup at higher boost.

The HKS plugs will work in any situation.

I have a tcu tune on the way. I'll get some before and after 0-60s with jb4 on map 5

Sounds interesting..

ECU, TCU, AWD install

How much is each piece? ECU $1450, TCU $850, AWD ???

If I'm not really interested in 1/4 mile / launching, I guess the increased line pressure with the TCU mod is still good?

What about the AWD - where does that help?

I assume that there's a separate piggyback / plugin for each of those 3 functions? I.e. spare ECU, spare / whatever TCU unit, spare / whatever AWD unit?

Hard to find reviews of Lozic, since google keeps thinking I'm trying to google "logic". How is their reputation?

Each of the units is oem, then flashed and sent out.

I'm not really familiar with all of the ECU tunes that are out and available at the moment but how does Lozic stack up with the competition when It comes to numbers and being consistent?
Who has the best ECU out at the moment?

Unfortunately it is still limited and impossible to compare tunes with the limited data available on all companies that do the Stinger... Sad because Ecu tune done right is better than a piggyback (access to all ecu maps, no additional hardware etc). On the other hand in the wrong hands they can be dangerous by removing safety limits...

I wish there was a company like APR in the VW world ecu tuning the Stinger. They can be trusted to make tuned that consider drivability, performance, reliability etc and not just pushing for numbers on a dyno. Price is not in the low side but still reasonable for all the R&D they put and quality results.

on this platform at this point I feel like Burgertuning/JB4 is the one that can be trusted the most. They are professional, responsive, ensure reliability by looking at logs, give great advice etc. But they are limited to what a piggyback can do ( there are pros to to the piggyback ) .

Considering the stinger is newish and kia doesn't really have a huge sports car makes like vw and audi... I don't think we will see one in the states. The jb4 is the best option and is honestly as Good as an ecu tune and you don't run the risk of having a flash on your ecu.

There are already two, at least in the U.S. Tork and Pressertech. Tork's tune is legit and can get you solid 11s. Pressertech's tune is REALLY mild and from the numbers shown on this forum might actually make your car SLOWER (people who have bought Pressertech's tune swear the car "feels" faster but there are no numbers to back their feels). Pressertech doesn't mention Kia anywhere on their website so the only real info on them for the Stinger is on this forum.

And of course there's also LAP3, but they're not stateside.

Received ECU and installed today. Liked how easy it installed. Taking it easy till my HKS plugs come in. So far impressions ECO is like a Camry XSE v6. COMFORT a little bump over stock, I would say like map 1 JB4 but very smooth.
As I said taking it easy but SPROT mode LIKE A F-ing ROCKET.

I got soft popcorn and I was worried it would be annoying. Sport exhaust valve open burbles and pops more so with manual mode 3rd gear. Comfort mode same but very short . Exhaust valve closed barely hear.

I still have my BMS Petal tuner just turned down 3 clicks. When my plugs get here going to do a few launches. In the mean time saving for TCU tune.

Tcu tune is out of stock

Good to hear you like it! Lozic knows what he's doing and his tunes are safe.

Another outing this morning. Very impressed with drivability in comfort mode and sport also if gentle on the trottle.

I'm thinking of trying the tcu tune only and stack it with my jb4
I talked to him about getting just the TCU and using the JB4. He told me the ECU tune is needed (or highly recommended) for the TCU tune.

If the tcu tune works with a stock car, which it says it does. It will work with a jb4.

The TCU tune will work with JB4 or stock.

Has anyone independently validated their claims or are you folks slapping in ECUs and TCUs and going based on the butt dyno?

Dragy runs show 0-60 in 3.8 or better without the TCU. 1/4 is high 11's. Both of these numbers will get better soon as there are several people who have just got their ECUs and some people are getting both ECU and TCU. Stay tuned!
