I have been on a small crusade to upgrade my 2.0 Premium to make it more like the GT-Line model that KIA sells in other countries. Replaced the silver brake vent covers with the smoked chrome ones, and replaced the glossy black center console with the satin chrome version from Korea that has a nice door to cover the cup holders. Replaced the rear badge with black Stinger script, and the front badge with the "E" version. So far, so good.

Next project up was going to be changing out the plain black lower front grille to the nicer GT version. Had been holding off, wondering whether the lower front grille is the same size on the GT Series Stingers and the 2.0's. Then I saw this product listing on eBay, which indicates the GT version fits all Stinger models, including the 2.0 Premium:
New Genuine OEM 86560 J5600 Front Bumper Low Grille for Kia Stinger 17-18 | eBay
This listing, and several others, also have "before" and "after" pictures that presume to show the GT version fits the 2.0.

Thinking that it was safe to trust the eBay listings, I ordered the grille and was pleased to receive it in less than a week. Spoiler alert: FAIL!

Pulled the new grille out of the box and held it up to the front of my Stinger. Uh-oh, the grilles didn't appear to be the same size. Pulled out the tape measure, and found that the GT version of the lower front grille is 3 to 4 inches narrower than the 2.0 version.

Put the new grille back into the box and shipped it back to the vendor.

Oh well, it would have been nice, but no go.

Hope this serves as a useful warning to other 2.0 owners.

Thanks for taking one for the team. I can take this item off my watch list now.

For you center console, did you replace the strip of black plastic way in the back that wraps around to the other side, or just leave that black? I want to replace my black plastic with the silver but I don't know how it'll look without that last black strip silver as well.

@Gus23J, I just replaced the center console. Will take a picture and update this tomorrow.

Another FYI is the rear diffuser does not fit the 2.0 either.

Okay, finally got a chance to shoot a couple photos of the Korean-version center console I installed on my 2.0T Premium. I think the chrome console looks fine - doesn't clash with the glossy black sliding door over the USB port compartment. It helps that the handle on the slider is chrome too.

@Gus23J, I'm pretty sure that the GT's also have the black plastic trim strip. Haven't noticed any Stingers with that piece in chrome.

Here is an example of a GT2:

Thanks a lot for that!!! I'm glad I see the black cover because it honestly looks good!

I want to replace the upper grille of my premium 2.0 with the GT verison. Do you think it wont fit either?

@Reignman98115, I can't tell you for sure if the upper grilles on the GT and 2.0 are interchangeable. That said, it appears that they are the same size.

Does your 2.0 Premium have DriveWise? If so, the upper grille on your Stinger has a sensor unit at the center of the grille. The GT-style grilles being sold on eBay do not have the sensor unit.

I do have the drivewise. Aesthetically i hate where the drivewise sensor is positioned. In the middle of the grille. Couldnt Kia think of a better way to make it more hidden or less conspicuous. Ive seen cars that have the drive assist sensors built into the emblems (ie Mazda) or small little circles built into the grille (ie Audi). Honestly I think its the only thing i dislike about my stinger.

Ha the vendor still selling it on eBay saying it fits the 2.0t

...And now for the 2019 US models the safety Drive Wise equipment is standard, plus the 360 Surround View Camera system is now available here on the GT2, so there is all that new standard equipment, with sensors and wiring, with cameras installed front and rear, as well as under each side mirror.

It *looks* as if the same part number applies both trims. Do your homework to be certain.

Does anyone know if the GT upper front grill works on the 2.0? Just bought it and took the bumper out, but the parts look a bit different. Seems like the same size though.

Did it fit ? Bc I wanna do the same thing

Hey sorry for the delayed response.

It does fit but it's very difficult to remove the upper grille. It's held down by rivets that need to be drilled out. I had to get professional help.
Can you please post a photo here? It would be interesting to see how the upgraded upper grille goes with the 2.0 lower grille.
