i decided to cancel my appt this morning because i have to work and cant be without a car all day. dealership says they typically dont do diagnostic work on saturdays.
i was supposed to have a window looked at that no longer goes up and down, the start stop doesnt work anymore, and weird screech when i turn the car off, and hatchback rattle.

go figure, i cancelled my appt this morning and what happens when i start my car up? the low tire pressure sensor came on for the first time. its cold outside today.
but even after driving and the pressure going back up the sensor still wont go off.
i dont see any way to clear it.

ill try looking in the manual and see if i cant reset it that way.

What are the tire pressures? Checked with an actual gauge..

How do you start the car if the start/stop doesn't work?

pressures were 29, but warmed up to 31 on my 8 minute drive to work. not with a tire gauge.
auto start stop, you know, when stop at stop lights..

And that is low for any stinger’s oem tire. Hence the low pressure warning.
its because it got cold outside.
now they are saying they cant get me in until october 26th.

I thought there was a threshold that the air pressures had to rise above before the TPMS light went off, I thought it was like 33psi or something like that. Either way, I would bring the air pressure for all the tires up to ~35-36psi and the light should go off pretty soon after driving for a couple minutes.

they should be around 36-38 cold depending on awd/rwd . the light generally won't go away even if it goes up a little past the initial light threshold until it's back to acceptable levels.

There's a sticker in the lower part of the front driver side door frame. It's got the recommended psi for front/rear based on the tires the car originally came with. While I consider these pressures a baseline, I think 29 is quite below.

Re your other issues. ISG (idle stop go), I'd say its malfunction is welcomed. I wish that feature would go away on my car. Windows, does it go up/down at all or just not when using the one press? If the former, I bet it's a switch issue, if the latter, calibration.

What year and model is this?

james at south jordan kia just went out of his way to help me with tire pressure stuff.
the fronts needed 39 and the back 37.
so the light was on just because the pressure was so low this morning.

back left window doesnt go up or down at all. child window lock button on drivers door no longer works.

I'm pretty sure that those minimum psi figures are for getting the TPMS to reset and turn the warning off. I've had psi a lot lower than those ratings but only once did my TPMS give a low pressure warning, when I got a puncture and went below 32 psi. I've read on here recently how someone got their TPMS low pressure warning to turn off: and if I recall, they took the psi over 40, then drove and saw the warning was gone, then let some pressure out back to the recommended psi.

Inflate tire about +2lbs past the max (setting is 38 and 36 on staggered setup I believe). You will need to drive it a couple times but the TPMS should pick it up and relay it to the computer. Once that happens you can drop the pressure a pound or so, the computer will give a little flex in the reading by about 2 lbs on startup. I learned this last winter.

Lol. I should have read all the responses lol

I hate the TPMS on these cars.

thanks for everyone's replies. at least we know, in my case, what it was. maybe it will help someone else who's a noob like me.

TPMS on these cars is not so bad. Years past they were more expensive to replace. The kia ones use a separate sensor with provisions for accepting a standard valve. In the old days the valve/sensor were one unit. Honda uses indirect tpms - no sensor at all. Loss of pressure is detected by the speed sensor.
