Hello! Ive been looking into the compact sport sedan class of cars for a while now, and have made the decision to buy a Stinger. I have test drove the Infiniti Q50/60, Acura TLX, BMW 3 series and Merc C Class, and think I like the Stinger the most.

My budget is low 30's but am willing to go mid 30's for a GT2. Went to my local dealership and they quoted me $39k on a new GT1 with a 10% discount, which is to much.

Any recommendations on where to find some great used deals?

Thanks

Update: Dealership 200 miles away from me is offering a Grey Used GT1 with 12k miles for $30k. Clean title and full 10 yr warranty included. I really want the Ceramic Silver color, but this might be a deal I shouldn’t sleep on. What do you guys think? Keep looking for a ceramic or go with this one?

Update 2: I found a Ceramic Silver GT1 in Florida, 500 miles away, that has 15k miles and I can prob get the price down to 30-33k. It already has rebadging on the front, back, and steering wheel, carbon fiber body kit, and aftermarket rims.

Here are some photos

You're the one that has to live with it. I waited for the 2019 because features were more important than price for me. If a good deal matters most, then this one seems good..

I don't understand. "Grey" is "Ceramic Silver". So if they are offering you a GT1 in "Grey" that you don't want to pass on, isn't that your color?

The actual name for what I called “Grey” is “Panthera Metal”. I just thought it was easier to say. They are offering a Panthera Metal GT1, not a Ceramic Silver.
Sorry for the confusion, my bad.

That’s a hell of a deal, and the title
of your post is looking for a ceramic silver OR panthera metal.
DO IT!

Panthera Metal is a super good color. It was my second choice, after my wife's first choice of Silky Silver. But her second choice would have been the Ceramic Silver; which also would have come before my second choice. ;)

Yeah. I guess I was the only one confused (I need to pay more attention to the title next time).

If they (Kia) would give is Panthera Metal with the red on a GT2 id be going that route, it’s my wife and I’s favorite color, but I’m dead set on red interior

I say go for it, I have that colour and love it. The black chrome trim really works well with that colour. It does make the car fly a little under the radar but I like that.

Gloss black wheels look great with it too, i run a set for winter wheels.

They don’t list them for 30k, that’s what im estimating I can talk them down to, and how much it will cost me. I find ones that list in the 33-36k range on CarGurus. However, the Grey one was bought for 31k but the guy is still getting approved for financing, so I might be able to still grab it if the ceramic one’s deal goes bad.

Oh interesting, i wasnt sure if there was haggling room on these used prices. I was in the market for a vehicle for my wife and i called a bunch of dealers advertising relatively low prices for a used vehicle, they were not willing to go down even 1 dollar. I figured the same would be true for stingers posted on the lower end as well, maybe not? Keep us posted on how the haggling goes

The ones selling these are usually dealerships who jack the price up for what they’re worth, so they know if they want to make a deal relatively soon, they have to compromise. I’ll be sure to keep you posted and let you know if I get a good deal, and what I did to get there.

What happened in the end?

I was able to find a really good deal on a used Red 2018 GT2 with 8,700 miles that had its title rebuilt from a minor wreck. Kia replaced all the parts, and the only damage was on the front bumper and headlights, but everything from the hood back was perfectly fine. All parts were replaced with OEM parts by Kia.

Flew down to Tampa to pick it up after talking with the seller and making sure it was worth a trip. We checked it out and drove to the Kia dealership down there and had them do their inspection that cost about $140, and they found that everything was just fine and verified all the sensors and tech was working perfectly. At the end of the day, I payed $26k for her and have had it for about two weeks now, with no problems at all. I’m consider myself extremely lucky that I found that good of a deal, and am very impressed with the car.

Thanks for still being interested in my endeavor, I appreciate that.
