Installed my JB4 this weekend after putting in the new plugs and ran some logs, but they didn’t come out as clean as I was hoping! I do not know a ton about reading logs yet, just some of the basics and there are some concerns with the timing it looks like. Plugs were gapped at .025 since that was the closest feeler gauge size I could find to the recommended .022, which I thought was going to be acceptable. Looking through other peoples logs when they are trouble shooting I have not seen many in the 60’s like my Map 2 from the 5th. Is the larger gaping the main reason why and is closing them to the .022 going to fix those sporadic numbers? Additionally, I ran 91 Techron fuel and a octane booster for map 2. I also have intake, catback exhaust, and a pedal commander if that matters.
Also, I do have the plug and play fuel and EWG wires but still did get a CEL for overboosting (P0049) as well today. Code was cleared fine, but I thought the wires helped that issue and I’m not running any aftermarket mid pipes either.
Any advice and information would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

First, zero out DPW. It's on 90 which can cause issues. Put it on 0. You have a pedal commander so no need to mess with that. OK, next, EWG wires can fix over boosting but they have to be configured. Drop your FF to 45 and see if that helps the issue.
Timing is another issue and you are correct, it's bad. I would get you a decent feeler and regap those as soon as possible the right way. Then we can eliminate whether it's plugs or octane.

Thank you for the helpful response and advice! I will update those settings today and order a new set of feeler gauges to regap them to the .022. For closing the gap, is there a better way to go about it instead of just putting it on a flat surface and applying some pressure?

Never even thought about a C clamp , but that should work perfect.
Hopefully should have some new, cleaner, logs in a couple days to post after the recommendation. Appreciate all the help again!

Ok, I am needing some more help!!
I pulled the plugs twice this weekend after buying the BMS gapping tool and feeler gauges. First these HKS plugs probably have 150 miles or less on them, if that, and they looked a little burnt to me? I'm not sure if I am running too hot or they weren't as tight as they should have been or if it was just from the very poor ignition timing, shown in the first set of logs I posted?

Once I pulled them, I gapped them .022 making sure to triple check each one before installing again. When installing I made sure to follow the torque specs on the HKS box again and made sure the coils were seated before screwing them down.
I did a couple runs and attached those logs, timing is better, but not where it needs to be.

So that is when I pulled them again and they were all still tight at the .022, but when checking one and regapping it I ended up closing it too much to about .018 and as I was going through the feelers to open it up again the electrode broke on me... I have never had that happen before, especially with new plugs with less than a 150 miles... I mean it could have been using too big of gauge but not sure if that is telling me something about how the plugs are performing or not...

Both maps show timing deviations across all cylinders. What octane are you running?

Your car builds tables off received data (adaptives). Sometimes after a run of bad plugs or bad fuel, it takes the car quite a bit of time to relearn that things "aren't so bad". At this point you can try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes. This will reset the ECU and go back to a base map. Timing will look clean initially and if it starts to go south again, you know it's either octane or plugs. If it stays clean it was just bad information stored.

Makes sense! I will try that route once I replace the one stock plug for the replacement HKS one I broke and run this tank of fuel out.
Do you recommend just running 91 and focusing on map 1 once reset instead of putting an octane booster in and testing both maps?
Also I know a lot of it is preference, but would it be worth switching to Denso verse the HKS plugs if I'm not seeing better results?

I’ve never had issues with Densos. I know some feel the only way to go is HKS but Densos are only $10-$11/plug.
