The stock battery is 56 lbs. The 40ah antigravity battery is 13lbs. 43lbs savings.
I haven't looked at those batteries much vs. traditional car batteries.Yeah, it's something that a lot of folks have been waiting for. Hopefully, now that they are starting to be offered by more established brands, availability will start to expand... and prices will start to drop.
A caveat... LiFePO4 is very robust and most of these automotive batts come with management circuitry built in. Still, you need to be cognisant of its properties, which are different from a traditional lead-acid.
Imagine what it does for cornering and handling in general.![]()
This is a good link that answers the common basics: Frequently Asked Questions That's just one I'm familiar with and have bought several of their batts. Other mfr will also have their own FAQ page. Pay close attention to the sections on charging, storage, and cold weather expectations. Different LiFePO4 mfrs could employ different charge/discharge protection circuits, but fundamentally, the cells are all the same, so it's best not to take the mfr's claims as gospel and better to assume worse case.I haven't looked at those batteries much vs. traditional car batteries.
What are the properties and differences? A link would be fine.
Thanks in advance!
