Hi all, I have a 69 plate stinger and was wondering if anyone else is having real issues with the quality of there head lights? They really don’t seem to light the road bright enough at. I make sure lenses are cleaned daily but has no impact. Is there anything I can do to help or is there an easy upgrade? Thanks

What is a 69 plate?

this^ ????

raise the headlights ... they are set (dangerously) low for some reason from the factory. search this site and you'll find the thread(s) how to do it ... adjustment holes are undrr the hood and you'll need a long handled screwdriver

Excellent, I’ll have a look to see what I need to do.

interested minds want to know what the first part of your op are about.

the screwdriver should be 12" shank no. 2 phillips. make sure it has a thin shank or it won't fit down into the adjustment holes.

Are you per chance someplace in Europe?

So a 69 plate SOUNDS like you're in the UK, people in other countries won't necessarily know this, most on here are from the US.
Secondly what type of Stinger do you have?

I have a GTS (same as US GT2 possibly) so it has all the toys including LED headlight - if you have these then I can say that they are pretty damn bright, they do the self levelling when first powered up but as has already been mentioned they can still be adjusted.

I have 2.2 diesel version. They are very much on the dangerous side especially when it’s raining

UK issues plates twice a year, starting with XX ##. For the first half of the year, the ## is the year, while for the latter half it's year + 50. So a "69 plate" would be a late 2019 or very early 2020.

incredible. thanks for the information. sometimes this forum is a virtual font of knowledge, thanks to you people.

Okay, now what is the trim/model?

Are your headlight lenses "hazed" or cloudy? If so get one of the kits that uses a very fine rubbing compound to make them clear. If you do have that issue, get them cleared and or take it to a shop that installs a protective film over the headlights. My 2009 Pontiac G8 GT had the film applied in late 2008 and the headlights are still bright and clear. WELL worth the money. Don
