• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Want to get a community poll on front plate placement. My car should be at the dealer within the next week or two and going to tell them not to drill into the bumper for “factory” plate holder. So….

Also feel free to comment in what product you selected if you didn’t go with default mount.

What other standard center mount is there besides drilling holes? That I would never consent to before the fact: so, if I ever have to put a plate in front (heaven forefend) it'll be the tow hook, so that I can take the plate off as much and as often as possible.

I have a 2022 Stinger GT Eilite (Canada) and used a Slybracket lower grille mount. I had SPECIFIC instructions with the dealer to not drill the front bumper cover and I gave them only one license plate (vanity plate). I installed the grill mount bracket myself and that install went really well.

Where did you buy yours? Was it a Canadian source, or just their US site?

I ordered it from Sly Brackets directly in the US. As I recall, they have Canadian pricing/shipping on their website www.siybrackets.com. BTW, I originally found out about them in another thread here in the Stinger forum.

Has anyone on here used a tow hook mount for their front plate? If so, does it affect the front sensors at all? Also, if you have one, where did you get it? The ones on amazon look pretty cheap. I don't mind spending the money if its a quality product. Is it easy to remove the cover to expose the tow hook? My cars in the shop getting some front end damage repaired so I'm having them delete the front plate holes and the holes from the front badge.

Our cars in Canada don't have the front sensors that the US models have, for some reason. A little more flexibility in placement thanks to this. I did buy the tow hook mount from amazon, but haven't installed it yet. Have been driving around with it and the front plate in the car with me and if I get stopped I'll tell them I had to take it off and just couldn't put it back on because I didn't have the tools, but will right away. From looking at it, seems quality, but maybe a bit too small to properly support the plate, so wonder if it's worth getting a normal plastic mount (like you'd put on the back of the car) and bolting that to the mount with the plate for a little more support.

Same question. If anybody can recommend a solid tow hook mount, it would be appreciated.

I used Sly Bracket. Mounts to lower grill.

I wish I could have told the dealer not to drill holes, but I bought mine right off the lot and it already had the front plate drilled in. I didn't want to wait 6+ months for one to come in if I ordered. The dealer still hasn't had any new ones on the lot since me and another fellow bought both Stinger's they had the same day at the end of June.
