Hey everyone. I bought my dream car 2023 Stinger GT2 ceramic silver, red interior, in october 2023. I am trying to keep it top notch so I am learning everything I can to do so.

Wash often. I have once a week as my baseline. I never go more than two weeks. In this climate I spray out the undercarriage with each wash during the winter. Wield the touchup paint don't let the attrition accumulate. Religiously adhere to your maintenance schedule. You don't need to overdo this. Full synthetic oil, for instance, is good for a lot longer than 6K miles unless you are beating the crap out of your car. It's okay to beat the crap out of your car, as long as you increase maintenance to suit your demands. Mods are okay too. I don't have any performance mods on either Stinger. But I dare say that most members of the forum do and I enjoy reading their stories. The success stories, not the tragedies, of course!

2009 Pontiac G8 GT that died about 30 days after a bad repair from a shop that I couldn't really prove was their fault. Had a beater car from 2020 to 2023 to prepare myself for my most desired car (the stinger gt2) and decided to pull the trigger once kia fully confirmed the stinger wasn't coming back after 2023. So glad I did.

That's the same scenario under which I bought mine (late summer, 2023. New GT Elite, Canada).
First thing I did was have the front bumper and hood covered in clear film. My last car had lots of tiny chips, and I didn't want a repeat of that problem on this car. It was close to $1,500 to do it, but well worth it in my mind. I also installed a body side moulding strip to guard against door dings in parking lots.
I'd also recommend tinted windows. Makes the car look so much better.
I'm not a believer in these long oil change intervals. It's mostly a marketing thing. Stick to the 5,000 to 6,000 mile oil changes. Don't run it out.
Lastly, depending on where you live (I live in a snow and road salt area), get the car oil sprayed.
Enjoy it.

Those were some really cool Pontiacs made right before Pontiac closed up shop. I guess it was just too late by then. But I think the Stinger GT is a really great replacement and upgrade for it. And it must be especially nice considering the beater for a few years. I'm glad to hear you're back in something fun to drive and nice to look at!
