Sorry for what may be a stupid question.:) I have a Stinger GTS AWD. It seems to me if I turn on "drift mode" and "launch mode" by switching to "sport mode" and then holding down ESC for more than 4 seconds, this effectively turns off the advantage of launching in AWD. So there is no way for me to use launch mode in AWD? Is that correct?

I read on here, and I also read this last year off-site, that the "drift" (up to 100% power to rear wheels) only occurs when you drive as if you want to hang the rear end out (drift). This leads me to assume that straight ahead (no lateral Gs), AWD will engage normally; so Launch Control should still work as designed.

Thanks. Not that it would worry me too much one way or the other, but I was just wondering. :D

With the gts drivetrain. If you turn off all the assists in sport mode but do the "launch " mode procedures aka hold steering wheel straight brake and gas, it's normal launch mode . Drift mode is automatically done if your steering wheel isn't straight.

I’m sorry for bringing this back, but how do I activate drift mode? I drive an 18 gt2 AWD

"drift" mode is only available on the gts and indigo package currently. It appears pulling the awd fuse may provide the same outcome as the gts and indigo drift mode, however regular US AWD models do not have the rear LSD so it is more likely to do a "one wheel peel"
