3.3TT Launch control slower than mashing pedal?

Does anyone else feel like it is slower using launch control vs. mashing the pedal from a stop? When the launch first hits, it's nice, but then there is this delay where it feels like you aren't really moving, until the boost builds up.

Is there any way to turn up the launch rpm to like 3500? I feel like that would remedy this issue.

I have observed the same thing. There is a delay, it feels like the car is bogging, which makes me think it's something the trans is doing.

Motor Week got 4.5 seconds to 60 out of launch control. (Braking 3:10 in) I think that most drivers are going to be more efficient using launch control. So far, though, my limited experience is happier using auto hold and mashing the go pedal. I haven't got any times, and my feeling is totally subjective.

everyone that has tested launch control vs auto hold has found launch control to be slightly faster, but not by much. It isn't aggressive at all and that's to protect the transmission and dif. Typically when people blow up a car drag racing, it's when launching, and Kia wants these drive trains to last 100k miles. There is no way to adjust the launch rpm, eventually someone will be able to tune it higher but that will most certainly void the warranty.
