GT in yellow doesn't have the adaptive cruise, nor LKA, or autonomous braking, sunroof, memory seats, 15 speaker system.

It does compensate for all that lack by having a "Limited" plate above the brake vents, though.

And the -10,000 retail price plus the 5000.00 gesture check adds to the overall compensating nature.:sneaky::thumbup:

hey don't downplay my GT. I love the fact that i can put in manual mode and it stays in manual mode, unlike the 1's and 2's
True for the GT2. Not true for the GT1, at least not mine: I have a manual gate, which I really like. It only took me nearly 4K miles to find it! :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Not true for the GT2 either, but you do have to be in Sport mode and turn off Traction Control.

Honestly do you guys notice a difference in acceleration with traction off for those with awd? I never turn mine off .. always forget

No difference since the tires never really slip. But if you want to use Launch control which helps a little bit, then you have to turn off traction control and collision avoidance. But if you are not racing someone from a stop, don't worry about it.

I'm still (desultorily) trying to determine if disengaging ESC aids in rapid from a dead stop acceleration. It seems intuitively possible: since LC requires that it be disengaged. It seems logical that without the electronic nannies at work that inhibiting even power to the wheels goes away, slight though that inhibiting might be. Last time I tried the Jerry Seiner "test strip" I forgot to turn on my MPH indicator and missed seeing how fast I was up to by the end of my c. 600 feet run. But it felt like the best one yet. McMaybe McLater, I shall try again.

(Paint chipping seems to have gone of the rails on this thread lately. :p)

18" all seasons can leave black marks even with the TC on. Interestingly, it was the one on the outside of the turn. I need to test it again to be sure. LOL

That makes sense with the torque vectoring. It is supposed to overdrive the outside wheels to push you through the corner.

People, this thread was started with exported stuff that was off topic from paint chip thread as people kept going off topic. I would advise if you have a specific post about something that you put it in the appropriate area and stop adding here. Its moderators nightmare sorting this mess out!
Thanks

I repent.

Looks good to me! Thanks, AV8R!

Regarding Launch Control, can someone explain to me what it is actually good for besides going to the drag strip? I mean legally in Australia what would be the purpose of it?

In the real world it probably serves no worthwhile purpose. After nearly 10,000km and 11 months of ownership I haven't tried it, although I've been tempted.

None really unless you want want to do a Jeremy Clarkson from topgear impression.

It's fun to play with. Plenty of opportunities if you actually engage it. "Pole position" at a traffic light on a highway with 60 MPH speed limit allows full use of it, should you be interested. Then there are back country roads, at odd hours, sans traffic, i.e. safe enough to play a bit. Just pick your venue wisely. (I don't play with it very often, though; mainly because when I want a quick acceleration from dead stop, I use auto hold and just firmly mash the go pedal; that works good enough for me.)
