LAP3 Pro Tuner Review

Have you been able to do any comparisons with the JB4, I seen a guy on FB and you tube that went from the Jb4 to the lap 3 pro tuner and said that he felt the car was faster and it performed better....now that was his opinion....but what are your thoughts?

I'm not here to "test", so now I didn't buy both, lol

Looks like your close to 90-100 hp gain on a .....not too bad. Sorry i didnt want to read all the other shit in this thread to see WHAT ARE YOUR MODS? And do you have any other vids of what your exhaust sounds like? Sorry for the bolds i just wanted some answers to simple questions without all the bullshit and have to read through all the arguing.
 
442hp at the wheels implies a bit over 500hp at the crank. That's pretty good!

I quietly stick to 520HP also because if you look more closely at the lower left of the video, you'll see he never even set up the fans to point at my intercooler... *facepalm* Easily another 5WHP right there, probably!

There are many strange details, and it turned into a story when they realized I wasn't just some humdrum Joe off the street asking to get a car dyno'd because I *think* I'm fast or some shit :rofl:
 
I would like to chime in again guys. I went to a fuel station on Sat. And bought 8 gallons of 110 octane fuel. I allowed probably 15-20 miles to get on the trip meter to allow the 110 to get into the fuel system. This of course was after almost draining the entire fuel tank down to almost no miles left. I switched the mode on the Pro Tuner to Mode -3 which is the Meth/Water 93 octane mode Tune. Well guys let me say, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought mode -2 was stupid! Mode -3 is rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like WTF while I was driving!! I even called David From Lap3USA and said WTF!!!!!!!!...

I will also say this, I did this with the race 110 octane strictly to concur any detonation and I was trying to feel out the Tune to see if I was possibly gonna put a Water/Meth kit on it. Well now I know I am blown away with the Tune on mode 3 and I have made a decision! It’s not recommended to run this fuel for driving on the map, but I knew the ambient temps out where low, and I wanted to take a shot it it. I am so stoked and impressed by Lap3USA I can’t even stand it!! Lol. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the Pro Tuner. I am still blown away daily by how it has transformed my car along with the Complete Eibach Suspension kit!!

If it’s Walking the dog on a C63 AMG... I am sure it’s really close to 500 something. I don’t really care what haters say. People comment on it. They are like WTF also. If anyone lives by me,and your on the fence. I can offer a ride. I am in Va.

Yes I did! Lol. I have access to 110 race fuel which was 8$ per gallon. The ambient temps out where low, so I gently got on the car in Mode -3. I cautiously listened for Audible detonation as I would gently accelerate. Car just pulled and pulled and pulled !!! I was like. OMG

And intake charge temp air that might be too hot. Like in my previous post, I stated that it’s not recommended to use the fuel on this map!! The meth/water significantly reduces intake charge temp air. As we all know this if your dealing with Turbo/ Supercharged motors. Try at your own risk, but be extremely careful!!! I was very very careful while I did this!! And on a side note, I don’t plan on repeating it.

I didn't plan on a new IC and alky injection in the short term, so Mode 3 is still a long ways off for me... :sleep:

Yes, I understand. The Meth/ Water kit is easy to install. It’s a little time consuming to install.

Just to update the naysayers in this thread: 442WHP.

Great result. The power curve also looks great, even @ smoothing 3. Can you ask them for a dyno file and forward it to us? I see it's using SAE correction factor. It will be around 450WHP with STD correction factor that everyone else is using. That way you can compare apples to apples with others running on the dynojet with STD CF.

probably one of the best looking power curves I have seen from a user on a piggy back in the stinger platform.

They typically have a folder for every single car they run. They should have all run files for all of them. If you remember the date of your dyno run, they can easily find them.
