Hey all just an fyi the Lap3 pro is out for preorder. Didn’t see any posts up yet but got mine preordered.

Yes guys! It’s coming!!! Order placed already. This is the best money can buy for now!! David Chung of LAp3USA is an awesome guy!! He is the only one I have met that has really explained their tune and data research! He has always been honest with me and this goes a long way!!! They make more power then anyone safely and their Tunes are extremely smooth like OE. I Would strongly suggest you save your money for this one if your on the fence about Tune Modules. The other ones usually just increase boost and I can tell you a horror story involving my Optima SX! This story would entail another company which I won’t mention, but all it did is run a ton of boost on the Turbo. LAP3USA has abilities to alter Torque management in the stock ECU, this in reality is unleashing power that is already there. All I can say, I was blown away by their Tuner module on my OPTIMA.

They want nearly double the price of a similarly capable JB4 for a piggyback that's also in the ballpark an actual ECU tune would cost.. I'm all for paying for quality but I'm having a hard time seeing this justified.

What sort of real life performance has been seen? Track times and trap speeds on this one? I’d be wary engaging in such a purchase without that information. I even waited on my JB4 until I had a chance to see it perform in person.

Lap3 is the original OG man, they have a lot of work into the Kia/Hyundai platform. I’m not worried at all and been patiently waiting for their solution.

When it comes to Tune and Engine management... they are the best as far as I am concerned! I have been there done that with Lap3USA. Give them a call and I am sure David will explain what sets them apart from all the rest!

Hi Kevin, I have the original LAP3 Uncle Chip that I run at 93 octane & I love it- any idea how easy it is to remove the pro version for dealer visits? I don't suppose anyone knows what kind of increase the pro version has over the original LAP3 uncle chip?

There's a lot of info about it on the forum, including dyno, 1/4 mile runs, installation instructions etc. Just got to look around on the first page or two of the tuning sub-forum.

I have the Pro Tuner on my Stinger GT-2. And all I can say is ....OMG!!!!!!! It’s monitoring more inputs then the Lap 3 Uncle Chip. It’s safer, but I will say this.... you must !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check the fuel quality from your local station your sourcing fuel from!! I don’t know where you live?? But the winter blends are in the pumps as we type... I would strongly!!!!!!!! Suggest you run an e85 blend if your vehicle can handle it??? You need to speak with David Chung from Lap3USA on that. He is the one who can inform you of that, but... in regards to your question, I believe the Pro Tuner far exceeds... the original Uncle Chip. It’s just way safer. I will be back up with a detailed review of my thoughts of the Pro Tuner. I have just been super busy at the home front.

And removal can take me less then 2 minutes.... only slow part is jacking car up to remove the Crank sensor off the Top of the Tranny. On the Stinger that is. Not sure what car your referring to??? Pm me if you need further info. Stay safe.
