Lap3 ECU tune

In my personal opinion if you are not trying to be the fastest and would want a bump in base power the jb4 is it and the best bang for your buck. I was on the stage 1.5 lap3 ecu tune but ran into some problems. Not sure if they were tune related as my car had problems prior to the tune. If I could do it all over again I would have just went with the jb4 from the jump. Again not trying to be the fastest but just want a bump in power at least for me over 400 whp and that’s doable with the jb4.
93 octane I think helps a lot over 91. And I have been told by my tuner in QC the NB has horrible 91 so figure the car would end up pulling timing to compensate and gains would be underwhelming. Most places have much better fuel than we do . So air intake and catback then cosmetic mods and that’s probably it for me .

Guys, what do you think would be the smarter option if you don't want to mess with E or WMI and mostly have 91-93 octane available, but you want to go faster - JB4 or Lap3 1.5-2?
You might do a little better with an ECU tune set for 91 octane than a jb4, but there is only so much you can do on 91.
The bad thing about an ECU tune is that if you decide to bump it up, with 93 or E30 or anything else, you need to pay for a new tune and reflash your ECU. With the jb4, you have 8 maps available to you to shift on the fly at no extra cost.
The closest thing to this for an ECU tune is the Sxth Element EK1 product which lets you flash your ECU yourself with new tunes, but this is not on the fly, is very new, has higher upfront costs, and each tune is going to cost something as well. It sounds like a great product from what I have read (there is a thread on this forum) for hard core tuners, but not for the backyard enthusiast.

Lap3 ecu tune stage 1.5 is adaptive and Will adjust to weather and mods. You can add a little e in there as well and it still adjust for more power. Anything more than that you will need the cpi kit from lap3 or stage 2 lap 3 ecu. JB4 I agree you have a good variety of maps all with good power bumps.

UPDATE: LAP 3 Stage 2.5 ECU, Stage 3+ TCU, Stage 4 Meth, FBO

Broke into the 10’s today with a 10.97s 1/4! Thank you LAP3!!
