LAP3 ECU and TCU Review

Thanks!

About the spare ECU... what do I need that for? I see I am forced to buy also the spare. Is it a copy of the other?
They send you a spare with the tune. Its part of the price.

Yo!

Yea, you can run on E30. There is a guy running 93 octane only with zero other mods and running 11.5 1/4 mile. Just has ECU and TCU from LAP3. The ECU adjust based on octane.

Each mode does drive differently much like the OEM one. Sport being the most aggressive. I personally run "custom" settings cause I changed AWD to "comfort" which allows for 40:60 split at launch. Sport mode is 20:80 split so spins the rear tires more when launching.
Who’s this guy lol just sucks not many mods for genesis g80. What more power. I have jb4 right now and it’s very inconsistent

check on FB 3.3T discussion. he just posted it. stock exhaust and all. just ECU and TCU.

Still loving it! I was out of town for 5 days and got back yesterday.

I did go DYNO the car last week before I left. When I pulled the AWD fuse out, I accidentally knocked the power wire to my charge pipe injection loose. So on the Dyno the fuel pump was crashing at 4k and above RPMs. Rookie mistake on my part and didn't realize it until I went to drive the car after and noticed my E85 gauge was only reading "E8". I knew instantly that my CPI and fuel-it sensor wasn't working cause it should say "E40"

Still made 469whp and 543wtq though

You can see on the dyno graph where the pump crashes after 4k RPM. Power just falls on its face. Then looking at the log (attached) you can see fuel trims went through the roof and the fuel pump crashed. I was running E40 so without CPI the HPFP can't keep up.

Without charge pipe injection or METH, the car still made that much power. Id be curious to see how it performs on just E30 without the CPI. The HPFP can handle up to E30 without crashing. Also curious to see how much more power it will make with my CPI working haha. Going to go back soon and do some test on the dyno. I was able to obtain a meth kit so going to do DYNO runs on meth/no CPI, CPI/no meth, both meth and CPI and straight E30 with no meth or CPI.

Needless to say the car performing better than it ever has, having LAP3 ECU and TCU.

Good info!

Curious to see how E30 will do and if HPFP will do then without CPI or Meth. Do you know what boost you have at the Dyno? Did you log boost?

Yep, its above on the log. about 19ish lbs

Im going to dyno with all scenarios. Should help a lot of people with decisions on what to run. After seeing people run mid 11's on a stock car with just an ECU and TCU, I think its going to make great power. Shoot, it did for me with the pump crashing and not having CPI or Meth.

Yes, it will really help us others! Ok, I couldn´t open the left picture. 19 Psi with that power is very good. Maybe E30 will make fuel be enough then, would be good to run also wo CPI or Meth. Keep us posted... Thanks!

Yea, boost isn't everything with tuning. The lower boost and higher timing makes a lot more power.

Next Dyno will include:
E30 (no meth or CPI)
E30/Meth (no CPI)

E50/CPI: (no meth) reason for doing E50 with CPI is because the purpose of CPI is to run more E content so the HPFP doesn't crash. Doing E30/CPI wouldn't really be different than just doing straight E30 since the HPFP is fine.

E50 CPI/METH: Not sure this will yield any gains. it might due to WMI cooling the IATs.

Very good to be scientific here...

I post my Dyno for some comparison... very, very conservative new Mustang Dyno but nice curve

Oh the heart break dyno! haha. Good numbers for a mustang!

Yea, you can see on my dyno graph above where the pump crashes and I loose TQ/HP instantly opposed to holding til redline like yours.

Rookie mistake but the next session should give us a lot of data on what the best setup is.

Ok, I think ny shifts is more firm With less slip, what it sounds...
Yea, I had stage 3 and it was super firm and quick. I would spin tire 1st to 2nd with it. I ended up going with Stage 2 though. Also, the video is tire spin and catching between the 1-2 shift. you can see the 2nd part of the video with no tire spin how much quicker it is.

Question for anyone that has the ECU/TCU tunes completed, how are the downshifts when you come to a normal stop in D? My 2022 suffers from some pretty seriously rough downshifts even after getting the adaptives reset, so i am wondering if the tunes may have remedied that issue.

I had the LOZIC TCU tune at first. It made it way worse. The LAP3 one is barely noticeable. In D you wont even feel it.

LAP 3 ECU, stage 2,5 will be delivered tomorrow wednesday. Exiting!

Nice! You will love it!
