*UPDATE: Solved! The L.S.D. is only available on RWD models, so for AWD models, it's identical from GT through GT2*

Hello,

On the US Kia website, it says the LSD is an option on the GT spec sheet, but there is no option to add it when you click through the "build" settings. I didn't know the LSD was factory option on the GT until I saw track reviews with the GT+LSD. Kia gave them GT's with the LSD. Video below. Since it's a mythical option on the GT, has anyone had a US dealer install it?

I leased my car, so I don't want to violate/create any warranty issues with a 3rd party install.

That's quite strange that this forum adds "limited slip differential" to LSD. Anytime you write it, when you post, it's added.

To my knowledge, it is a standard option on the GT and GT2 however, it is not available on the GT1.

I have a GT. If you go to Kia's US website, and click "more details" on the trims in the "build" section, it says it's optional, but if you click through, there is no option. However, I just learned something quite useful! The LSD is only available on RWD models! I have an AWD, so that means the only main feature that interested me in the GT2 was actually something it didn't have. I'm glad I didn't waste $8K!

Just curious, but do you folks with AWD cars actually get inside-wheel spin? I had an Audi A4, and no matter how much I hooned it, I could not get inside tire spin on cornering. I would've guessed that an AWD car typically wouldn't suffer from inside-wheel spin.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

LSD is only shown as an option since it was available on those early yellow limited edition models. You can't order it for a new GT. GT2-RWD is the only config with it in the US.
