I hope this is not a duplication, but may I start a thread for owners to report on issues they have had with their Stinger? Now that the car has been in the wild for a few months, I wonder if issues/defects/bugs have appeared?

scroll down on the main page looking at left hand side down past general, stinger, then its technical - but to save you some time/effort I will from memory list the ones I recall (I may be missing a couple). They are listed in no particular order.

* The spark plug/coil pack issue - The surveys seem to support the conclusion that the majority of issues correlate with cars that have aftermarket chips. I am not taking a side on this one. I have no issue.

* Subwoofers - Mine work great - there is some debate as to whether they need to be broken in.

* Sunroof rattle. I have this issue but it is not the first car I have had this with; I can live with it and when I have time I will lube it. Since mine is open almost all the time, and since my stereo is playing loud (see subwoofer above) it is a minor annoyance.

* Hatchback rattle - I don't have this - there is a TSB on it but there is debate about its effectiveness.

* Bluetooth use intermittently causes volume/fader to switch all the way to the rear. I have this issue. It will likely be fixed with a software update. Again, not a big deal to hit setup/center volume (two steps) the once a day it typically happens to me.

* Some people have mentioned paint issues particularly around the license plate.

* Some people have mentioned door rattles and front dash rattles - this car is tight and well built. I do not have rattles from the dash or the doors. I have had Audi's that make more noise; my dad's bmw 5 series rattled much more brand new.

I may be missing one or two, but this should get you started.

You ROCK! I was on an Optima forum the other day looking for 2.0t info, and someone asked where to find something. They basically received a middle finger for asking, followed by a verbal excoriation for having the nerve to even ask! Your reply is PRECISELY why this forum stands apart from the rest.
