Named after the Malo Kingi, or common Kingslayer. A species of irukandji jellyfish found in Australia and discovered in 2007 after the death of American tourist, Robert King, who died from it's sting. A.k.a: World's deadliest Stinger.

Nice etymology there. I wasn't aware of the nickname given to those nasty little critters!
