A touch pricier than the Highlander and Pilot, but plenty of standard kit.

Dealers will have one on their lot for show & tell and to order off of by the end of March.

My dealer will have one on site March 13th only, for sales training. I'll get to see it that day. I'm excited!

Did they mention which trim they will have?

At $37k I think I might have to get a Snow White Pearl with Dune Brown Nappa leather EX.

The GM was told both the show and tell, and the first one on the lot would be the SX version and likely with the Prestige package. Fully loaded, in other words.

Kia is expecting the Telluride to be a HUGE hit.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I think it's going to end up being one of their biggest sellers.

The Palisade is nice too. I like the center console of the Palisade a lot more than the Telluride.

I like the traditional shifter on the Telluride personally.

Both cars are very similar though, curious how they're being released at the same time. There is no question they'll poach sales from one another.... but maybe Hyundai motors doesn't care about that? A sale is a sale I guess.

I like to think they went to both their Kia group and Hyundai group, told them what they wanted and what they had to work with and put them into competition against each other.

Though I like the space made available by push button shifters I also prefer traditional shifters. But the Telluride's shifter looks kinda of cheesy compared to the rest of the interior (looks like a Optima/Stinger part). Hyundai maintained the sleek, clean, minimalist theme with their shifter.

Should be real hit in suburbia! Looks like a winner.

I personally like the Telluride better also. Traditional shifter and the grab handles FTW

How do you have a 3.8 liter V6 with so little power

Kia is using the Atkinson Cycle for combustion in an attempt for better fuel economy. We'll see how it all works out. It seems a bit down on power and torque for my tastes.

I feel the same way. 7-8 passenger vehicle with 5k tow capacity, seems a little low on hp/torq.

And I'll add a little context for my comments, too. Had an Explorer with 290hp and 255tq and it wasn't very pleasurable to drive. It was heavier than this Kia though, and only a 6 spd auto instead of 8 spd, but I'm wary. It had to work way too hard with loads and with air conditioner running, etc.

@Grayt 8 my MB GLE 350 AWD 3.5 L is rated at 305 hp weighing it at 4600 or so lbs and the tow capacity is 6600. However, for durability and longevity, max is probably about 5k lbs without stressing the frame. It's got enough get up for a family car (only a 5 seater), but most I've towed is about 1500 lbs and it lagged a bit. But I guess most folks buy SUV's as people movers.

Interesting you bring up the Explorer...they are coming out with a new one with some good power, just ugly AF!

Hopefully every police department in the country doesn't buy them. I hate seeing Explorers, slowing to the speed limit, then noticing the driver is a soccer mom.

Have you seen Dyno on motor? I’m betting it makes great power low to mid range . It is an suv

Have you seen a dunk? On specs alone it’s comparable to Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. At 260ish figure for torq, I’m not holding my breath
