Have you seen a dunk? On specs alone it’s comparable to Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. At 260ish figure for torq, I’m not holding my breath

Again betting it makes more torque and HP in low rev range that the Honda or Toyota. People really misunderstand HP and torque specs. It’s not about peak numbes it’s where power is made in rev range. I’d rather have a lower powered SUV that makes better torque and hp between 1500 to 3500 than suv that makes more between 3500 to 6000. Heck most of us Stinger guys should understand that wth our low rpm torque numbers.

Kia hit it out of the park with this suv. Can’t wait to see production models road tested.

I see that the Kia 3.8 makes 291 hp at 6000 pm as opposed to 295 at 6600 rpm for highlander. The pilot makes peak of 280 at 6000. But those are manufacturers claims. Until you put all three on same Dyno no way of saying they are comparable. 3.8 should have more grunt mid range which should suit Tellerdie well. Kia does great job with powerplants. Yeah disappointing they didn’t go 400 hp hybrid as they indicated initially or V8 but hey it’s a total steal in low $30k range! And 8 speed tranny with low end grunt will make it seem fast too.

Has me reconsidering Jeep Gladiator for my island car. Big enough to haul the boat and room for friends.
