Kia Stinger vs Dodge Charger Hellcat.

Correct me if i am wrong, but doesn't a Dodge Charger Hellcat have 707hp. Thought the Hellcat would have easily caught up the Stinger before the maximum speed of 270kph.

Doesn’t sound like he took off very aggressively or pursued with much vigor.

Hellcat spent the first 2 gear spinning. Sounds like he was trying until he saw how far the stinger was.

Hellcat is on the Black key, should be making around 500hp. Typically on the black key they will make 460 - 490 whp, which is still quite a lot more than the Stinger. There is another video of the same cars doing a role race, the Hellcat won but the Stinger put an impressive performance considering the power difference.

Yeah when you don’t have traction for the first 10 seconds of a race you generally aren’t going to win.

So high power rear wheel drive car, despite the huge HP and trq advantage, will most likely lose in a "real world" (racing prep, surface and wheels prep) stop light situation to a 365 hp stock Stinger?

So after seeing all these high power vehicles falling to the Stinger in 0-60 and 1/4 mile in the real world situation, which cars outside of a supercar , can best the Stinger in a real world situation?

any Tesla for sure , M3 or M5 ..................not many though

He definitely seemed to be running the black key, not the red. Also, he was too heavy on the throttle initially, you really need to roll into it or you waste a lot of time spinning. Traction also greatly depends on the tires being run, many Hellcats come with all-season Pirelli's which are decent in cold weather to keep you on the road, but terrible when trying to put any real power down.

All that being said, I've had a 2016 Challenger Hellcat as my daily driver for over a year, so I'm very used to the power and what it's capable of. I've decided to give my spare car (a 14 Focus SE) to my daughter for use at college, so I started shopping for a replacement. I went to a Hyundai dealer last night to test drive a few Elantras, and they had a used Stinger GT AWD to my surprise, so I asked to take it out. I couldn't believe how much fun that thing was to drive. While the Hellcat is rated for a much quicker 0-60, the reality is, even with good summer performance tires, I still struggle to put the power to the ground, so the Stinger with AWD wasn't far off in terms of seat-of-the-pants acceleration, which really surprised me. It sounded really nice as well, not quite the V8 + supercharger whine of the Hellcat, but pretty good. Hence why I'm now on the Stinger forum researching and trying to justify to myself spending a lot more than I had intended for this spare vehicle!

I think all the hero e.t. times were with the locker box that you can buy for a dollar. Think they used d.o.t. drag slicks. I've seen them hook up hard and take off, but, that is on a prepped surface like was posted before me. Either way, I agree, Tesla, zl1, prob a gtr. Mostly supercars. In our price range...none that I can think of.

Damm... What did I stumble upon? A freak of nature of the automobile?

Even at the drag strip with great grip i saw a charger helcat run a 12.6 which is Stinger teritory. Sure it spun the tires but on the road it would spin even more.

A lightly modified Stinger will crush a Hellcat Low 11s is not difficult with a GT AWD.

That car runs low 11's in the 1/4 stock, this is no contest even if the driver was using the black key vs. the red performance key.
