Kia Stinger Rear Spoiler Discussion

Maxton logos are just decals glued on. They come off quite easily.

I thought their was an indent where they were placed ??

I have the front lip, rear diffuser and winglets from Maxton, none have any indents. Can't say for sure on the spoiler.

Ya, that was part of my concerns when buying. Unfortunately, I went and bought anyway. I've recently removed the spoiler from my car because of an issue with the 3M tape that came with it, and I won't be putting it back on. I like the general shape of it, but the fact that the logo is there and only the top is gloss black is very unappealing. Additionally, the edges are all sharp and very much just look like unfinished cut plastic. I like the overall shape of it, but that's about it. Besides the general shape, it just looks like a piece of cheap plastic glued to your car.

I have the spoiler in my trunk right now and can take any pictures you may need.
You nailed the description and I have one as well. Still in the box. Honestly thinking about returning it. Mainly because of the logo and the fact that cheaped out and only painted the top.

If you buy a Mercedes or BMW spoiler or wing etc , they are never painted on the bottom , it helps the tape adhere properly , it is not a sign of poor quality or cheaping out ..................not to worry ( at least about that issue ) the real key is fitment and aesthetics ...................:thumbup:

Gotcha. This is the first time I've bought a trunk spoiler.

Well it's not necessarily the bottom being unpainted that's the problem; it's the "back." The part of the spoiler that faces behind the vehicle and is clearly visible (it's basically 1/2 of the spoiler) is just unfinished plastic. I don't care about the bottom that connects to the vehicle, but the part that everyone sees being unfinished? It just looks bad.

..........................I see , can you post a pic , I'm having a tough time picturing this

Hopefully these help. Top is gloss black. Edges are dull, rough cut plastic (definitely sharp with rough patches). The back (what you see if you're behind the car), is also dull plastic with no finish. This isn't the bottom, as it is exposed.

I see what you mean ? strange , is that what they believe it should look like or did the painter just miss it ?? Hope you get it sorted out

They replied a couple of pages ago and said this is what it's expected to look like. Just gonna look around for another spoiler.

So frustrating. If only they spent a little more time on the back sides and the edges it would be perfect. I sent them an email asking if I could order them without the logo and never heard back.

For everyone looking for something under $200 shipped, we have two M&S options available in that price range and they look fantastic on the Stinger. Its a great budget-friendly option and you can reach out to me directly if you have any questions or want a little bit of a discount on the spoiler to help sweeten the deal.

M&S Spoiler Type G
M&S Spoiler Type S

I asked maxton about painting the entire spoiler glossy black and here was the response:

We cannot do that as the raw material comes in with one side finished with texture (in this case Gloss Black).
Maxton technology does not allow to have all sides (edges) in Gloss as parts are not painted or coated after molding. They are molded from ready material.

With the M&S spoilers can you install the flat black one without painting it? Has anyone done this? I usually like flat black way more than glossy black so I would love some feedback before I make a decision.

We got in a few boostec carbon fiber spoilers in.

Thanks for the info. I would love to see a pic when you have it installed!

I think it would look awesome in my white car.
Will post a pic for sure. Waiting for Khartunerz to get their shipment in from M&S. ETA is 4-10 days from now I believe.
