Kia Stinger Rear Spoiler Discussion

oooh .. Stinger Haus are the guys that also made this growling Borla Exhaust thing on the orange SEMA car? Wheee .. I'd love to have that (if it doesn't annoy inside) ... but alas. Illegal. Grrrr.

It's not as it's shipped by UPS and box is not small and shipping big box with big volume by air is not cheap. Everything bigger than 59" is shipped by DHL or UPS and they charge for volume, not actual weight and this is never cheap. EMS charges for actual weight but size limit is 59" and sides are longer so they can't be shipped for normal price.

Ouch! eBay prices same as yours then. :( Guess it’s going to be a stick on rubber lip for $45.

You just have to accept the fact there is no cheap way out if you want nice parts. Rubber lip is cheap to begin with and shipping to as it can be bent and squeezed in small box, it's just fits all rubber profile manufactured in large quantities. Rigid plastic or frp parts can't be bent to save on shipping. They can only be cut in half (if made from fiberglass) and the box is small enough to be shipped by EMS. This only pays of for one lip or diffuser, as molding set of sides would cost more than you save on shipping. Nah can’t be bothered now too much money for a part. Thanks for the feedback anyway.
If any aussie members in west australia want one please let me know so we can do the bulk deal to save on shipping? FYI the advanced lip is the better one to get.

It would be best if Australians reach an agreement on how much of something you want and then we can do it, save on shipping. You would need to discuss this among yourselves.
Yes advanced lip is better as it thicker and stronger, I know that.
Ok the last part of the msg was for the aussies that read this post I know you know but they don’t lol!
Let’s see how we go....

i've been noticing that the price for everything is expensive lately. if you bought a stinger, which isn't cheap to beginwith, the parts you buy aren't going to be cheap either. if these parts were for elantras, they'd probably be cheaper. i think these manufacturers also prefer to have a few customers who are willing to pay a high price rather than a whole lot of customers paying a cheap price. why sell 100 at $10 to make $1000 when you can sell 10 for $100 and make the same? it's less work, easier, less shipping, less aggravation when we complain the shipping is taking too long, less nonsense to deal with when an item really does get lost in the mail. this is just the way things are nowadays. you have to pay to play. or you can go to ebay and find a cheap item and be happy for a little while until it either fades, peels off or who knows what other defect it'll have.

If it was a BMW we would have to pay the double or triple for parts:D

Actually I found after market mods for BMWs were extremely competitive , time and patience will reward those who wait for a few months , there is very little scale for these cars right now and suppliers are keeping prices high . The 200 spoiler i've been following has been quoted to me at 140 ( 10 unit group buy ) I'll pay 150 for a single unit , but I'm betting that these spoilers will be 100-125 but end of the year .

You are 200% correct sir. If you could afford Stinger then you should be able to afford parts for it to. Student who buys Tiburon for 2K can't afford much and when temptation is to big they cheap out to get what they want. But anyway M&S abs plastic parts for Stinger are cheaper then tiburon fiberglass parts so you can't really complain parts are expensive.
Just to clarify...prices on korean made parts don't ever go down, they also don't go up (most of them) unlike US branded parts and if price on something gets lower it's because vendor buys bigger quantity and gets more discount or gets better shipping price or seller is simply ok with smaller profit or wants to get rid of stock, but MSRP stays the same regardless if part is for 15 or 1 year old model.

I just got order for oem tiburon exterior door handles wrapped in real carbon fiber and customer paid $ 263.30 shipped for a set.
Would some stinger owner pay this much for a set of door handles?

FYI...we've got both M&S spoilers in stock here in the US and can easily beat any Ebay price out there. Also our Korean office can ship to Australia quite easily.

Can you ship it for $550 AUD including lip as that’s the budget cut off?

Any carbon fiber spoilers?

Not in the States but we’re definitely going to make a couple different spoilers in both fiberglass (or ABS) for painting and carbon fiber. There’s only one carbon spoiler on the market right now and it’s very expensive.
