Just curious as to what pads you are referring to? Is this a kit you purchased from Kia?

the link in your posts takes me to a Hyudai Tucson article.
Dealer said my vin was not impacted although I had the hatch noise from day 1 and the new part fixed it.I got a copy of the TCB. At my dealer they said that this was a parts problem at the factory. Only a limited number of cars got the wrong part, and Kia knows the VIN numbers of all the cars that got them, so you can check your VIN with your service department. Mine wasn't one of them, and I've heard nothing in the 10 miles I've driven so far.

Yup, same, mine is an early 2019 model, the TSB doesn't appear to apply, but it definitely does.Dealer said my vin was not impacted although I had the hatch noise from day 1 and the new part fixed it.
I did neoprene. 2 per bolt. Allows some flexibility in how much I want to compress it (adjustment wise)Are you guys adding metal or neopreme washers? Are there rubber washers in this kit? What did you ask the dealer parts guy for?
The one from Kia comes with foam "gaskets" (pads) and thin metal washers. Are you guys adding metal or neopreme washers? Are there rubber washers in this kit? What did you ask the dealer parts guy for?
I used a combination of s/s and a composite washer on both hard rubber stops on the bodyAre you guys adding metal or neopreme washers? Are there rubber washers in this kit? What did you ask the dealer parts guy for?
That is the weirdest part: some hatch rattles go away when it gets cold, and others (yours) the opposite. I have every confidence in yours being resolved in short order.(This did just start with the 30° temps)
