Uhhh..There isn’t one for 2019s and you know how dealerships are I’m guessing, “your year isn’t affected.” Plus what they do isn’t working so their TSB fixes nothing.
Hey guys, Thank you for the helpful pictures and video. The washer solution worked perfect on my 2018 Premium. Oh, and if anyone has moonroof creaking issues...just open the roof and apply silicone spray liberally around all the edges and wipe off. Nice an quiet! Love this car!

Welcome to the forum. Silicone spray works when it does. Others have tried all manner of lubricants and they didn't work. There is no one cause and one fix for extraneous noises incidents.
I have a 2018 GT2 and the famous hatch rattle since around 15k miles (I'm now at 40k miles). I just took it in to the dealer for the 4th time 2 days ago for the same issue (and even the 4th time for the moon roof rattle).
The dealer has done everything KIA stated to do in their pitstop/bulletin plus some more improvisation and nothing has resolved the issue.
I'm now trying to find out if this issue has been resolved in the 2020 model. I might want to sell mine and get the 2020 model if the issue(s) are resolved.
Can anyone comment? My dealer asked his rep if the 2020 model has any improvements for the hatch and all he received was a generic response like KIA always looks to make improvements but literally no elaboration on what area or what type of anything....
Research on this forum indicated to me that the 2019 still had these issues.
It's not "a fix", it is addressed by several fixes; off the top of my head, we have thicker washers under the adjustable stops (and adjusting the stops fixes some cases); the side bumpers can also be extended with washers or material, which has been felt or rubber sheet; and even one of the hatch pistons have been found to be not tightened down fully (on the passenger side, if I recall correctly). The most odd, and least permanent, fix was duct tape wrapped around the hatch latch. Some unfortunates have tried everything before their "hatch rattle" went away.
Same here - 2021 GT1 RWD ; within the first 75-100 miles I had the issue but fixed it myself with a few washers, the duct tape fix (tried first) only last a few hundred miles. We'll see how long the washer fix lasts.
I have a 2020 awd gt. I don't have a trunk rattle issue per say but when I drive over a bump I hear a loud noise coming from the rear passenger side hatch area only, anybody else encounter this?

I would just bring it in since it's under warranty, I see you're from MN - I had my trunk rattle addressed by Luther Kia in Bloomington, they knew of the problem and they have a tech that is very familiar with the process...maybe yours is a little different though.

I bought mine in Rochester at Kadlek, live in Omaha. At and rate, my local guy can't isolate the origin. Can you point me in a direction so they can find it, please. Thanks.

Thank you so much to this forum. For $2.50 the problem is solved. It took longer to watch the video than it did to perform the fix. No more hatch rattle! I am so excited!!

If this has already been brought up, I apologize, but I wanted to provide some insight into this rattle issue. I ended up taking my 2019 GT1 in 4 different times and got compensated 2 oil changes because of the amount of time and investigation it took the dealer to figure out what was going on.
The short of it is that on my Stinger, the wiring harness within the hatch and in the trunk area was banging against the panels of the vehicle. It would be more pronounced on certain road conditions, but taking the dealer on ride alongs ultimately made them realize that I wasn't making things up. I truly think that the first 2 trips were a waste and that all they did was try to adjust the latch and the bumpers.
So, just be aware that the tape and mounts that hold the wiring harnesses inside some of the panels may need to be reinforced with additional foam and tape...
Hope this helps other Stinger owners and saves frustration if the washer/tape/bumper adjustments don't fix their rattles.

Hi, if you haven't already had it successfully addressed, see my post above. This drove me insane for months as my dealer initially just sort of fumbled along...
