Kia Stinger GT2 Demo Price

The discount off MSRP is decent, but with the doc fee being so high they should have room to go lower. Doc fees are pure profit for the dealership.

Are you going to be buying out the lease? If so, going with a 24 month lease would give you a bigger incentive.

I asked them to lower the price and he told me.

Doc fee is the cost of doing business with a dealership. Everyone pays the same price on it. It wouldn’t be fair to anyone else if we changed the doc fee between people.

Lease buyout is an option.

They won’t change the doc fee, but they can further lower the dealer discount off MSRP.

I would check the 24month lease incentives in your area, then work for at least a little more discount off MSRP on top of that ($500-1000).

I asked how are we at 38,000 after rebates excluding taxes and its 615 a month. Does this make sense to you at all.

There should be a dealer's manual for your state that shows what the dealer is allowed to charge for doc fees. In Texas, it is $150 and they have to provide written justification if it's a cent higher.

@Braves12 What about the $499 govt. fee? There does not appear to be any Georgia or Florida fee like this and is most likely going into the dealership pocket as well. This dealer seems pretty shady.

Also you should be able to get that much off MSRP of a new one this late in the model year. No reason to cross state lines and mess with a dealer charging that much. And who cares what is fair to other customers, you are the only customer that matters.

Costco is easiest way to get good price. I had few quotes for Atlanta area in December of last year with 3.5k off of MSRP on 2019. Then try to negotiate with other dealers (that's what I did and got 4k off). Before that I wasn't able to get even 2k off on 2018s.

If buyout is in your mind, look for new one than demo one and get a 2 year lease. The discount you are getting is just not worth it. I have seen people getting 10% off on new ones last month.

With 6500 lease cash I got, my payment is 600 + tax 18. There is definitely something fishy with 615 payment.

I’m in Atlanta and that is exactly how I got my GT1 a couple of weeks ago.

Walked out of there with 0 money down 575 a month. Pretty good?

Car had 2,700 miles on it. less than I thought.

Looks like you got them to drop reasonably. Monthly lease payment is not an indicator by itself. That's not a bad monthly payment, but what does it add up to, etc? OTD is what "the wisdom" says that we should be focused on: not monthly payment.

Look at the title of the thread: it's his thread. :P

Agreed that OTD is the number that matters when comparing prices.

That said, the unwritten rule is don’t ask if you got a good deal if you already made it. If it works for your budget, that’s what matters. Someone out there will always say they got a better deal, but they may leave out details or simply not be truthful to make themselves feel like they got the best deal.

Drive your new car and enjoy it!
