Hi all.
The lease for my truck just ended and so I decided to buy it out trade it on for another vehicle. I'm limiting myself to Carvana because they offered the highest price for it (a 33% increase above residual). I was looking for a sedan/wagon/hatchback, 4 doors, automatic, sunroof, heated front seats, remote start are all a must, since I live in Michigan. It also has to be red. I've owned white, grey, blue, black. Only thing I haven't tried is red. This truck is our only car, and I have two toddler kids.
So after a month of searching and watching too many reviews, it brought me down to this short-list:
* 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 $42,000
* 2018 Genesis G80 Sport 3.3T $40,000
* 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T $42,000
Overall, I am leaning towards the G70. However, for a short moment in time before the SUV we bought arrives, this car will be the only vehicle of the household. So this MUST fit 2 car seats in the back for now for a 5 yo and 2 yo. I am concerned that the G70 won't have enough room. Looking at the pictures and discussions online, it seems that way for sure.
2nd preference is a tossup between the Stinger and G80. The G80 just feels like a much, much better value, since it MSRPed at just under $60,000, is a better class of vehicle, and is selling at the cheaper price. I feel like I'm getting a bigger 'discount'. However, the Kia is more practical with the hatchback. That said, I am concerned about the long-term build quality of the Kia because many reviews have commented on the rattles/creaks of the Stinger interior.
What are your opinions on the matter? Thank you.
