Kia Stinger Fi-Exhaust

FYI you won't be able to use the smart box if you have a JB4 since the OBD2 port cannot be split

Are you for real?? - That would suck huge.

This is the truth. Return the box before you open it unless you don't plan on ever getting a piggy back.

Looks like Tork tune for you and me if things go well with this

Any updates on your Xforce experience fellas? I'm looking at this exhaust as well.

There were some fitment issues, it turns out the xpipe exhaust was put in upside down. However, I'm loving this exhaust. It was a little louder than I wanted regardless of the mode, however, I've loaded dynapad and installed dynamat and it's perfect. I think it's a good value considering that you get a secondary cat delete included with the exhaust. I think the price is so low because they have reused exhaust parts that they mass produce for other vehicles, the downpipes if you will, are really mated to get the exhaust to fit imo. This also explains the fitment issues, that's my theory anyways. I would say though, the quality and features seems amazing for the price. The exhaust has great character while heavy on the exhaust and has interesting notes while decelerating or off the gas. The valve while open allows the exhaust to flow straight through the muffler uninhibited, I think that the reason why it is not louder is because there is one resonator earlier after the xpipe, and the muffler itself acts like a 2nd resonator while open. I think this allows you to get the performance without all the noise of a muffler delete, although I have no numbers to back that claim. I think that the exhaust like this really needs to mated with an intake, prior to the intake I installed it seemed almost as if there wasn't enough back pressure unless the RPMs were up.

Still havent put it in. Had a hell of a time with suspensions mods on Sunday and i just didnt have enough time to start on the Primaries.

Nice review! This helps my decision on pursuing the x-force as my exhaust upgrade.

This has been debated in every forum since the invention of the turbo.. There is zero need for back pressure in a turbocharged scenario. In your case, the single greatest point of restriction after the turbo itself is the primary downpipe and cat. The hole in the cast flange is something like 1.4 inches and they don't even match between banks. If you were experiencing some kind of lag sensation it would most likely be the ECU's fault. The only reason Tork put their primaries back on was because the ECU kept throwing the overboost code and going into limp mode. Once they get that taken care of I am sure they will go right back to straight pipe all the way back.

If the note didn’t end so abruptly, like someone’s butt hole quickly closing at the end of a fart, I might have actually liked it.
Yeah, what's the deal with that? Why is it ending so abruptly?

How does it sound when the valve is closed? Any drone or any louder than the stock exhaust? I like how quiet my Stinger is right now for long road trips but wouldn't mind having an option to remote open up the exhaust!

This just affects the automatic adjustment so you could still use the bluetooth part of it to manually adjust the exhaust, right?
yes. You just wont be able to use the app on your phone with the smart box. The bluetooth controls will still work.
