Who says it’s not me?
That's not the geyser I saw on the channel 9 link about pilot training you posted me months back.

Top one the DJ, from memory you looked like former South Australian batsmen Mike haysman who went on the 80s rebel tour to South Africa and is now a cricket commentator .... just saying:D

Just turned 35 and planning on trading my Gen Coupe for a Stinger, maybe next week if I'm lucky.

And what does "drive like a girl" mean? Since when is it ok to insult women with sexist comments like that? Yes.... I'm a woman too. I drive like a woman... And that means I drive well. I ride well too. I will never contribute to sexist stereotypes, nor will I accept them. Nor should you!
Yes, you’re absolutely right. I guess I was just trying to be succinct. I didn’t mean it in a derogatory way. But yes, the stereotype is that women don’t really care about what’s under the hood. And they don’t care about going fast. You and I are breaking stereotypes!

I’d like to know how many Stinger enthusiasts are female. Am I the only one? :) Of course, I don’t drive “like a girl”...
there are at least 5 females owners here I believe..................

Wow, I haven't checked in recently and this thread took off without me! Yes, I'm one of the women here, and I'm over 65 to boot. When I was in college, my favorite professor, a very sedate, classy, gray-haired woman, drove a gorgeous blue first generation Mustang. The most important thing I learned from her was that neither age nor gender should limit one to a boring car.

"Drive like a girl": brake early; keep foot over brake while tailgating; if a closing situation develops, give much wider room for maneuver than the typical guy driver; if a passenger, scream when the guy driver doesn't appear to be braking early/fast/hard enough to avoid rear ending the car braking or stopped in front.

Notice, I did not include "drive slower than guys do". Girls typically do not possess the same accuity for time-space tasks. It's like physical strength: guys are typically stronger than gals. There are women strong as men and stronger than most. But the strongest human on the planet is a guy. And the fastest driver with the most developed space-time sense is a guy, not a gal.

Also, the drivers who get into the least amount of trouble/accidents are females. That "extra room for error" sense stands you in good stead. Later in life, there is far less difference between male and female drivers, as most of the guys have grown up and drive with something like maturity; which most women drivers have been doing since their teens.

That's particularly true of grandma drivers in Cali: "Go granny, go granny, go granny GO!" :D

I wish you could see the BMW i8 lass that I clung to for c. a hundred miles on I-15. Fast girl, driving I mean; she looked like a peach when she finally quit and let me pass her. There was no way I was going to try and get by her when she was MOVING. So far, that was the second most fun time I have had in my Stinger. (Dougie, you said you were repenting "in sackcloth and ashes"; what happened?)

I don’t know about that. I have seen plenty of men drive like that too. Over here we say they got their licence from a Weetie cereal box.
