It’s great to see all these amazing results and love the friendly competition.
This is a great thread and good way to know what each tune/chip is capable of achieving.
I think the ECU tunes have a slight edge over the boxes as well.
Seems to be true so far especially vs analog boxes like the RC, but I’m curious what the JB4 could do with the same upgrades. I assume a FMIC, DP, cat & muffler deletes should give at least an extra 50whp+, correct? I know Terry is keeping his shop car emissions compliant, but think those extra upgrades would drop his 12.3(intakes only) into the 11s too.

Either way all these runs are super impressive and shows how easily we can compete with $100k+ exotics and even muscle cars! I’m still in shock what our Stingers are capable of already and can’t imagine what we will do in a few more years. A 10sec 1/4m will be here before we know it!:D

Go team Stinger and keep up the great work all.

I think we can keep it competitive for sure with the JB4. The fuel control alone has been a game changer. I've been working on some timing control routines to add timing when on higher octane and was able to get my traps up to 118mph (JB4+intake only) but ETs still 12.3s on bad launches. The real thing holding back our development car 1/4 mile right now is the peg leg and stock tires and resulting weak 2.05-2.10 60' times. With 60s down in the 1.8s range the car would in the 11s as it sits.

I wish the car had 17" rims from the factory so I could throw on my favorite tires, Nitto 555R 245/45/17s. :)

It was satisfying to see a bright orange hemi challenger that looked and sounded so mean, doing a huge smoky burn out and then do a clean run of 12.74 which is right at what a stock RWD Stinger would do.

Some very nice times posted here. I have a 2.0 am I the only one who has been to the track with it. I would love to see some times from other 2.0’s This was my best time for the day, outside temp was close to 90 with not much humidity. I think I can get a little more out of it with cooler temp and a better reaction time 4467FC1A-ED05-4478-A22D-DF3FF88D7328.webp

Nice run and think yours is the first 2.0 I’ve seen posted. Looks like 13s are in your future!;)

We will see, I’d like to get in the 13’s. At that point I would call it a respectable four cylinder. Better weather conditions and some driving skills improvement it should be there

Lol, it’s already more than a respectable 4 cylinder, but I know what you mean and agree. 13s is no joke and was the norm for strong V8s 20 year’s ago. Amazing how far we’ve come and the 2.0 with a chip and few bolt-ons can keep up with a lot of impressive cars.

Good stuff - it's great to see the AWD numbers posted so far!

I can see that @Tonkabob and @Sales@Tork are both operating in the PNW at very close to sea level - what altitude are you at? Please consider putting your location in your profile - it would save considerable time trying to find clues in previous posts, and really help in this thread for interpreting how everybody is doing.

Good luck with trimming that time!

It says Auburn Washington under our profile picture.......

My 12.4-5 runs were all at about 650 Ft elevation running up hill about 40ft to the end of the run. This is down on a stretch of country road with no driveways or road crossings and miles of soybean fields. Going to head to TMP ( Cayuga) in the fall for some runs on the strip and that's also about 600ft elevation so should be similar times with the exception of the timing light roll out with shallow staging.

Wait so your runs werent at a track? How did you measure out the distance and time it?

He's using a Dragy, and posted the output from that - it looks after both the timing and distance, and from comparisons done with actual time slips they appear to be deadly accurate. As I don't have a drag strip nearby to test at, I picked one up a few weeks back as well to track the impact of modifications - great tool.

How times have changed. That is about what I was doing back in the 1960's with my Chevy, 409 SS with 4:56 rear end and Positraction. IMG.webp

It's spot on accurate. Can't have an "official" time without a track timeslip but for those of us who don't have formal drag strips handy, and want to look at other metrics like 0-60mph, 0-100mph, 60-130mph, 1/2 mile, etc, it's a must have.

Dragy vs. track results from one of our customers the other day:

Haha good times for a 2L! RT is independent of ET. But once we get the JB4 2L fuel control worked out, You will shave a few .ths for sure. :)

Ok, I didn’t know the R/T was independent. I can’t wait to add the wires in.

Yes and that's the crazy part when I look at our times our 60 ft is almost identical but I have well over 100 HP advantage I wish the car would leave off the line like it had all that extra power because its like no matter how much power I gain it doesn't matter because it still leaves the same. Damit KIA

please keep this to Kia Stinger related only not AWD BMW

We have a JB4 boost by gear setting you can use to reduce boost/torque in 1st or 2nd gear for traction purposes.
