Sometimes I scratch my head trying to figure out what they are thinking at the service dept. I must not be their typical customer.

From obviously making up expensive service items to putting this on my windshield during an oil change visit:

It’s ripped because I tried to remove it immediately when I picked up my vehicle. I drove it right back into their service centre and said, “Dude. Not cool.”

When I had service 1 done, they put one of those 'static cling' see through plastic labels on my windshield with a mileage reminder - I had no problem with that, as there is no adhesive involved. I just peeled it off cleanly and stapled it to the receipt for my files.

It had the dealer name and phone number printed on it, so obviously they had the labels printed specifically for them - sounds like your dealer is trying to save money in foolish places ...

This was alongside that static cling sticker. It’s just marketing for their text-for-service-appointment. I guess they are so serious about not losing business that they are ok with a permanent reminder. Which is case in point for how they view and treat their customers...amateurs....

The texting idea isn't a bad one (though I doubt I'd ever use it), and I'd like to think that the paper label intent was to stick it on your copy of the service paperwork, not your vehicle.

Good for you for returning and pointing it out - maybe they'll have a word with the staff and make it right for the next guys ...

This reminds me of the majority of people who leave the dealership names on the back of their cars or on their license plate bracket. I tell them not to put any of that crap on the car at delivery if they arent paying me an advertising fee. Despite this, they usually put a new license plate bracket back on at every service.

I'm the same way. I always tell them before leaving the delearship to take all of their billboards off the car.

I SPECIFICALLY told my Dealer I wanted ZERO advertisements on my car. First thing is they tried to give me a plate surround when I picked it up and that as a big no. Second, they put their logo on the back of the car even though I said not to. Luckily it all peeled up easily with a fingernail. Still, not cool.

Service (for a couple warranty things) has been pretty good customer service for me. Not sure if that's my dealership in general, or the "Stinger" extra special service. Feels like an act to me, but at least they're trying?

FWIW...skip the car washes too!!! Dont need them swirling the paint with dirty wash processes.

The dealer installed my swirls before I took delivery (existing inventory car). That's mainly why I polished it before putting on the sealant.
