KIA Official Press Release (9.26.17)

Does anyone happen to know what kind of warranty the Stinger comes with? I don't worry about depreciation much since I tend to keep cars for 10+ years, but that's where the 10 year warrant on my Optima comes in so handy. I don't expect the Stinger's will be quite so generous but I'm interested to know what they offer.

I would assume it's the same as all Kia's.

The more expensive K900 comes with the same warranty as the rest of the Kia line-up so the Stinger should be no different.

In Australia. Stinger comes with its 7 year unlimited km warranty with 10,000 km / 12month servicing. Thats Australia though. Id imagine most countries would get whatever warranty the rest of the range is.

A dealer told me it was 10 yrs. (power train).

In Poland it's 7 years (up to 3 years: unlimited, over 4 years: up to 150,000 km). Warranty is free and goes to the next owner. It also includes a 7-year free map update (which covers Europe, Russia and Turkey I think) and Kia Connected Services.

There are few exclusions like suspension and steering operating elements with 3 years of unlimited warranty (including gums, joints, covers, rod ends, etc.) radio/navi with 3 years or up to 100 000 km and battery with 2 years unlimited.

Does anyone know if the paddle shifters are made of metal on the GT trim levels? I have paddles on my 14 Cadenza but they are plastic. I would hope the stinger has solid metal paddles....

According to review done by Saturday Car Fever, paddle shifters in GT 3.3 AWD are made of plastic.

I'd be really surprised if they weren't made of plastic.
I just stopped by the dealer and sat in a 2.0 demo again. The paddles are definitely plastic, or at least they're mounted to the wheel with plastic, because I could flex the assembly a little.

I have never had one break so meh.

I agree. Wasn't being critical; just figured I'd offer the detail to those who were concerned. I also know there are tons of aftermarket paddles available for other cars, so presumably someone has or will start offering them for Stingers too.
