I was looking at the kia site for accessories for my 2019 stinger (mostly at the fitted rubber floor mats...)

And I saw that they have Pro-kit Springs and an Anti-Roll kit.

Do these upgrades have any real effect on the performance of the vehicle? It's going to Kia after I pick it up for a full service and for the recall repair and if they have any actual value, I might have Kia install them.

thoughts?

I put the rear Eibach sway bar in and noticed immediately that the "hop" and "sidestep" (unsettled rear end when carving curves) was drastically reduced. A year and a half later I installed the front Eibach sway bar and noticed an even more dramatic difference: the oversteer that I had been compensating for was totally gone and the steering feedback is now thoroughly consistent; also the body roll is reduced (not that there was much roll to begin with).

That's good feedback thanks. Not sure I am interested in a potentially harsher ride the springs may create but the sway bars might just be of value.

If they are listed on the Kia site does that mean Kia also does the installation?

Kia put them in.

I would imagine so... I don't think they had them listed when I did mine... took me to calling 4-5 dealers to see who would do the install... ended up getting them done at shop instead, If they were (or if I knew they were available at a dealer) I would have probably bought them and had them installed by a dealer... would have saved me a lot of time and hassle.

That's awesome that kia canada has the sway and springs officially on their accessory catalog. It doesn't look like kia usa has it though..

From many reports it seems the Eibach springs have similar ride quality as the factory springs and don't really add to the harshness. Only issue is if you really need that 1.4" of ground clearance.

Hey!

Noticed today as well that the Kia site is listing them. Was curious before I even checked with the dealer regarding install/labor cost, what shop did you take your car to get the springs installed? Looking for a shop in Toronto or the general GTA area that has experience working with the Stinger.

Cheers!

Sway bars are a must... Great upgrade.. that price they have listed is quite high though.. i paid less than 500 for front and back

Yes I know thats why I will be getting them from a Performance shop here for $530.00 Canadian funds and tax sadly

That's much cheaper than the dealership.

what are you paying for labor?

Nice car by the way, looks just like mine :)

Thanks and I am in Mississauga (Meadowvale area) I am still looking to find a shop that will do it or even a dealership if the labour rates are not too high. I have only had one quote so far from $180 to $230 to have them installed.

On kia.ca you can shop accessories, and if you plug in your postal code and select a dealer, then add the sway bars to your cart, you'll get a quote that includes installation. I was planning to get the sway bars out of the US once the border opens up again, and then get the dealer to install (assuming they'll still honour the installation cost from their website). $166.60 (+ tax, of course) for installation at the dealership isn't too bad, I don't think?

I'd be careful with that labor quote.

They initially quoted me 1.5 hours (Fortunately in writing) and then once they had the car they told me that was the labor charge for just the front, the rear being an additional 5 hours...

Fortunately I had the quote in writing by email as I had them doing other stuff and they had also screwed up on their initial inspection that I paid for so the honored the original quote.

Good advice, thanks ...
