KIA Motors Finance: Negative BBB Reviews & Complaints

KIA sent me an incorrect statement showing me a balance of $1313. It did not reflect previous payments. I panicked send ing a note and a check of $900. You sent me a corrected statement showing only the correct balance of $275. I also paid this. You did not return the $900. sent in error. RETURN THE $900. IMMEDIATELY ROBERT KELLIHER A/C #1814118668
 
my sons kia totaled after being hit in rear in birmingham al his insurance man tried to pay it off no reply from kia going on 2 months now

On Sept. 7 2019 my 2017 was totaled, in a rear end accident, I am still waiting for GAP to issue me a refund. I've called KIA finance total loss department, you NEVER speak to a person in the total loss department, you speak to customer service, stock answer "I'll email the total loss department to send required documents" they read from a script on 3/9 I spoke with Victor rude and if he lost his place on the script he would start again! KIA Finance letter listed documents sent to GAP, called GAP-Easy Care, documents are illegible. After 15-25 calls, realized KIA finance is NO help, with the help from my insurance company (AAA) I submitted documents. Now, in order to get the full amount due, Easy Care is requesting copy of check from the Extended Warranty refund. I DO NOT receive copies of checks, nor am I copied on emails sent to Easy Care, I request to be copied every time I Call. Now I'm back to square one, again KIA total loss department did not send copies of check or payment history. I was locked out of the online account, otherwise I would send account payment history, how hard can it be?? Six months is unreasonable, KIA reported as a charge-off on my credit report.. REALLY!! I totally understand Reason to hire a lawyer.

This is random!? How does a post from last March end up here and now? And a pissoff post to boot. How odd.
 
I've read a lot of bad things regarding KMF. Good thing I went with my bank for an auto loan.
 
I have had nothing but drama issues with KMF. I have been $600-$900 a month for the 1st 6 months of buying the 2020 Kia Soul Turbo. 1st. My lease was up on the Niro so I had to either decide to buy it, or turn it in. Well being how I was 50K over the allowed mileage, I decided to buy it. My balance owed on the car was $18K, but when I decided I wanted to keep the cr the dealership added $4K bringing it to $22K. There was no way in hell I was paying $22K for a 90K mile car. I was INFURIATED. So now Im forced to buy another car. So I did. What a
$%$ mistsake! First. I have been paying extra each month. My payment was $515 and I pay $600-$900 a month.
I noticed that the principle was not going down much at all. NEVER WILL I BUY FROM KIA AGAIN!!!!

As of now I have paid $5,500 on my $33,073 loan. Kia has applied $4466.00 to principle and $967 to interest.
The problem is that they show I still owe $29,200. The amount should be $28,607. I have spent HOURS and multiple calls to get this corrected. I either get hung up on, or they tell me that they don't have payments for certain months which is total horse shit because I have proof from my bank and I am looking at my account online while on the phone with them. I also tell them how the payments were applied, but I get nowhere. Don't think a supervisor will help you either. They're just as shady and incompetent. Bottom line. They are holding roughly $545 somewhere. When the columns of payment, how much applied to interest, and principle. Though they show it was applied the current balance doesn't reflect what they have applied, thus charging me more in interest everyday. This company is going to do everything they can to make sure they get all and some more finance charges. KMF is shady and I for one will NEVER do business with them again. I plan to make signs and stand across street of Kia dealerships to deter people from being contracted with this company.
 
Reading negative reviews on anything can jade anyones opinion if not taken into context. Fact is, of the thousands and thousands of purchases or leases done through KMF, 272 is a drop in the bucket. Personally, I plan on doing a lease buy out. So KMF is just a means to an end
I did a lease buyout 2 months ago and they say they sent it to the creditor I bought the car from. Not so. Still can’t get plates.
