Kia Motors Cooperation - HEADQUARTERS

Sorry ... but @Jasem is right !

I could definitely see that happening. They don't want to be competitors to each other. I'll bet they do the same thing in Kuwait although I could be wrong. And I wonder if they have the same dealership monopoly problems in Kuwait that they have in Saudi?

Most of the Gulf Countries in NOT ALL, are monopoly dealerships. It's not like what is happening in USA.

Let me tell how it works here, KMC (Korea Motors Cooperation), gives only ONE Local Company in Saudi Arabia the Official Authorized Dealership. That Being Said, This Authorized Dealership is the only one capable of selling Kia Cars, Maintaining them and act on behalf of KMC for any Local related issues.

One LAD (Local Authorized Dealership) for the Whole Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? its tough to open showroom branches everywhere, so what they do is; the LAD give authority for other local companies to open showrooms as a distributor for LAD by their own name e.g. "Hamza Kia".

Once this distributor (Hamza Kia) starts to attract a lot of customers by his amazing sales rep staff, customers service and treating their customers with utmost respect and kindness. LAD will notice that "Kamza Kia" is starting be more recognizable in this area more than LAD itself. So the LAD will start to limit the supply of Kia cars to "Hamza Kia" forcing their hand not to full fill the customers car requirements. And in some cases they only push the old models/non attractive colors/unwanted trim levels to "Hamza Kia" making them not able to fulfill the customers needs and expectation even though with the exceptional service.

For example, when I want to purchase my KIa Stinger, I went to these distributors, they only had 2.0 versions with white interiors (entry level). LAD are not giving them 3.3 models are at least limiting them.

They are doing this to control their image, and making sure no other company overshadows them.

Excuse my typo errors, this damn auto-correct did not leave me alone. @Joseph Spiegel ;)

No problem, Salman! ;)
Doesn’t sound like a very efficient process. Kind of hurts growth.
