Hello everybody,

This is my first post since joining - apologies in advance if this is answered elsewhere, I did have an honest look including a few searches but couldn't find anything.

I am wanting to replace the KIA badges on the front bumper and boot hatch of my Stinger and I would like to know if the original badges have pins on the back of them, and then if there are pin holes in the body work? Or are they just glued/taped on?

Does anybody know from experience?

I have attached pictures of the two badges in question.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance and thank you for having me on the forum!

Cheers
Joe

Yes.

Hi Joe and welcome to forum.
There are 3 pins on front and 2 on rear. Do a search and you will find lots of information on how to replace them.

Thanks for the reply,

So I presume are you saying that both front and rear badges have pins on the back of them, and will leave pin holes in the body panels when they are removed, right?

Thanks again
Joe

Yes. Most people cover up the rear with a STINGER badge that can cover the holes (it's recommended you fill them with silicon as well). On the front, yes, if you go badgeless, you'll need to do something about the holes - most people replace the front badge with something else more to their liking, but a filled/painted nose would be the other option.

All makes perfect sense. I'm planning on replacing them with a 'stinger' and 'E' badge.
Thanks everybody for the replies, super fast and helpful.
Cheers

I put "K" skins on my KIA badges. But this is a good excuse to say, "Howdy, and welcome to the forum, Joe."

Hey Joe,

Have you done the install yet? If so, how did it go? I replaced the badge on the back of my car with the larger "Stinger" script and it looks awesome, really happy with the results. I was concerned about being able to cover the holes left over but it turned out great.
