Keeping Stinger Shiny and New

Any recommendations for cleaning products and do's don'ts in cleaning Stinger both inside and out? Thank you!

Outside is a touchy one, people will advocate a million different things. The gist of it will boil down to: Learning to hand wash is best, but if you need to go to an auto wash, go touchless. Meguiar's Gold Class is a good cheap recommendation for washing. Watch some youtube videos on the subject. Waxing is tougher, but gives the car that extra pop.

Interior is easy enough. Some car cleaning wipes for the textured trim (Heck, I use wrung out baby wipes sometimes), and I like to use windex on a cloth for the shiny bits. Don't use those greasy polish/protectant wipes unless you really want to commit and do EVERYTHING. They're basically a finishing oil and will leave the interior looking streaky if you miss spots.

Park it in the sun afterwards if you want to be disappointed in yourself. You'll always miss a spot.

My 'Car Care' kit when I bought my Stinger ended up costing me ~$50. It was a wash sponge, 2 buckets, bottle of car wash soap, a dozen microfiber cloths, windex, car wipes, window wipes, a 50' hose, and a sprayer. It serves me well, and washing it by hand is kinda therapeutic.

I don't want to be that guy that's an a$$ and tells you to look in the "Kia Stinger Detailing" discussion but that will be your best bet to get some good info.

In NYC here its tough to hand wash yourself as you have nowhere to work on it and I DO NOT trust the hand wash car washes around. What I do is on weekends go through the touchless wash nearby, then immediately go to my parking spot at my job a few blocks away and hand dry it there(its quiet, shaded and noone bothers me). If need be I use a rinseless wash before drying to get out the tough spots. I will then wax it with meguiar's ultimate liquid wax, clean the interior and use meguiar's leather conditioner. Once in a great while I will go to a true detailing place but last time they charged me $85 for a basic wash and wax.

I always wash by hand , then wax by hand.....It's the only way to find any new imperfections ....from daily use....rock chips,door dings......keyed.

Ive been in the carwash biz for many, many ,many years....never ever take your car to a full serve carwash...never.....never ever take your car to a touchless wash ...never...and I say this from owning them....lol....you need friction to remove the magnetic road dust/grime....the brushes in a full serve do it...only you get the guys in front of you dirt....your car will look like crap in time....the next is the touchless of which ive owned...the friction used is very harsh alkalis and then acids to neutralize once you have hazed the clear coat via brush or chemicals its all she wrote as they say.....your car will look like crap in time....also the spot free rinse is very aggressive water and it will get down in the crevices.... just my .02 wash

Hand wash is always best and I found the trick to preventing the little water streaks from coming out of all the nooks and crannies even after you dry it is to use my air compressor and an air trigger tip to blast a little air on the hood vents, rear side reflector and door handles and around the mirror. Quick way to prevent streaks if you drive right after you wash it. Mine is black so it shows any imperfections.

Rocket that could get pricey....why don't ya fill up one of those portable compressed air tanks and use it....more pressure ,more volume and less money Wash

Microfiber towels; just lay them on, water whisks off; no rubbing required. I like the air compressor idea, though.
