K900 and Cadenza are being axed .........................

I'll probably get crucified for saying this but I rather they discontinue the Stinger entirely so our resale values stay higher or the car could even potentially appreciate in value or hold its value like we see with the E30, E36, S2K, MX5, Supra, NSX, etc...

Like I said previously I love both the Cadenza and the K900. They both look really good to me and both are very luxurious. Sure, they're "just a Kia" but honestly for higher end luxury you cant beat their price points dollar per dollar outside of a performance standpoint. It's a shame that they are being cut due to bad sales. If the Stinger is going to be cut I would be surprised if it's due to bad sales since I'm seeing them popping up left and right both in NY and FL.

I actually test drove very recently the new 2021 K5 GT-Line and I will say that it does (as you said) feel very cheap on the inside but it does drive well. The handling was solid and it didn't feel to heavy or floaty or unbalanced. Also, and this is rather subjective, but I love how the front of the exterior looks. :D
I get where you’re coming from. I do think the stinger has appreciation potential if they’re discontinued eventually.
The K5 looks good on the outside, I agree. I haven’t driven one but have heard good things about the driving dynamics. It’s the inside that is a mess to me, I should have been more specific.

I completely understand!

For me though, I always compare dollar to dollar. For example, my Stinger's MSRP is over $40k. I would expect my vehicle, since advertised as a luxury grand touring performance hatchback, to have a superior interior to another vehicle that has an MSRP of $25k and is advertised as a standard mid-size luxury sedan. Everything is always relative. :D

For sure. Hyundai/Kia are making some weird decisions with their cars lately. I don’t understand why the Sonata can get a full digital instrument cluster and the K5 gets a tiny 4.2 inch display. Same with a head up display. Feels like Kia is going more performance and Hyundai is going more upmarket, but then you’ve got the Sonata N Line. Just curious decision making in places.

I’m excited to get the stinger. I like the Candenza but I’m going to love the stinger.

Yeah you're definitely gonna love the Stinger; it's a really nice vehicle for the price! :)

Just a shot in the dark...what if Kia pitched the Stinger the same way Chevy (more so GM) pitches the Corvette? Everyone knows at the end of the day its a Chevrolet but it has become its own entity. Yes the Stinger is part of Kia's upper tier/luxury line, and in turn showcases what they are capable of producing. Why not showcase and pitch it that way?
Another example would be the Supra, it has its die hard enthusiasts as well and nobody says "is that a Toyota Supra?" No its "look at that 'vette" Or "holy shit look its a Supra!". Don't know if that makes any sense to anyone
both those cars reached cult status ......................not so the Stinger

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Do you think its a time thing? Like how long they've been around or knowing of those cars and brands capabilities?

I've only seen a handful of K900's at the most and these were the earlier models, 12',13'. Sat in one a few years ago and wasn't that impressed. Thought of it as knockoff luxury to be honest. Surprised they've kept them this long because of sale numbers. I see a Cadenza on the rare occasion, not a favorite but descent looking. Thought they would have axed it soon after the Stinger was released.
To axe the Stinger and only have the K5 in the lineup I would be really surprised by. Would only assume the Stinger is here to stay unless sales drop off a cliff! My opinion, the Stinger will either become an EV or have its place taken by one.

Then it's no longer a real Stinger. Look at the new "Mustang". It's nothing of its former self at all lol.
